Guest guest
Now that several of us have agreed either to eliminate or reduce consumption of one unhealthy thing in our diets and/or replace it with one healthy thing, it would be wonderful if more people would join in. Many, many of us are overweight - some by a little and some by a lot. If it is too difficult to give up foods you love, how about taking a quarter of everything on every plate you eat and putting it to the side and not eating it? By doing this, you can eat everything you ate before, but we cut our caloric consumption by 25%. For some, that will mean you will gradually lose weight because you are consuming fewer calories while for others who are still eating too much, it will mean that you will gain weight more slowly. Either way, you'll be healthier for it, and once you're used to a 25% reduction in food volume, it is relatively easy to move up to 33%. Any takers? How about a 10% reduction? Kathy F.
