WE used it for a while. THought it was good, not terrible side effects.

Switched insurance and now use generics. We'll see.

My son's LLMD prescribed this also (the generic name is Cefixime), but it was

very expensive so we never tried it. We went with Cefdinir instead.

There was a clinical trial done that showed that it was reasonably effective for

Lyme.

It sounds like it is in the cephalosporin class of antibiotic, which are

recommended for use against Lyme. Rocephin is the most common IV

cephalosporin.
