Guest guest
In my experience the topical has to be used continually. Sometimes the flare up will die down but comes back if I don't use the cream. I recently heard of Dovenex? Is it a vitamin D cream? Recently, Dr. Oz said on his show that vitamin D seemed to be working topically to stop the over production of skin cells that is psoriasis. I have also had luck with Tea Tree Oil dabbed on the scalp places. I have treated scalp outbreaks like this for a few years now.
Guest guest
I read somewhere awhile ago that soaking a cloth in cold coffee and applying it to the affected areas causes the blood vessels to constrict to take away the redness and because of the reduced blood supply to the skin the scales start to go away. Somehow the thought of myself sitting around somewhere with dripping coffee slapped on all over me wasn't too appealing... Then I remembered that I had bought one of those caffeine eye roll ons (mine is the Garnier Nutritionist, but I think other lines carry them as well), and I decided this last week to roll that on the patches instead. It took about three days but it seems to be working. The " treatment plan " I came up with is to wash the affected areas really well in my morning shower - scrubbing gently if it could take it - then use a really good moisturizer (for me it's cocoa butter, the Vaseline Intensive Care one) as well as the prescription I use, which I had already been doing anyway. During the day, I use the same lotion on my hands after washing them and I take a little more and rub it into the scales on my arms. At bedtime I use the caffeine roll on,quite liberally, which dries in a minute or so. Will it last? Don't know, but I'm feeling quite encouraged because you can barely seen any redness at all now and the scales are definitely less than before. It would be interesting to see if this works on anyone other than me!
Guest guest
I have psoriasis in my inner ears and on my scalp and the only product that I have had success with is DermaZinc Plus. The company is very good and the product is almost to good to be true. For people with psoriasis on their scalp it's terrific. The bottle comes with a spray nozzle and a simple applicator tip and is a clear solution. They also have shampoo, creams, clear solution (my favorite). It will change your life after using it as directed. I've even had months when I had no symptoms. Web-site is www.sanavita.com .
