Sharon, about 35 years ago my aunt "my Mom's sister married a man with three kids. His exwife left him & the kids. To be with another man & raise his kids. So my Aunt was Mom for the most part. The kids did visit there Mom. All three are still close to my aunt & there Mother. I thank that is great that you are a loving Mom to these kids.

In some ways I'm very selfish. I only have one child

but I want lots of grandkids. So I feel the investment

I'm making with my 5 kids will reap many grandkids.

(Plus they are really good kids, considering they are

teens and hate me most of the time.) And just think, I

only had to go through labor once.

Sharon, Susy & I would of loved to have several grandkids. "our daughter" had 12/25/02. She didn't have him home a week & the State of Az took him away from her. Just before she had Pater, we took on carrying for her Mom. We took on carrying for & Mom. But that was way to much. We knew that would NEVER be able to care for or any child. So our family put together some money & paid into having her tubes tighed.

During all of this, some friend's of Susy's sister was looking for a baby boy to adpot. & was more then willing for Susy & I to have contact with , in fact they wanted us to. So Susy & her sister talked into giving him up "we was taking care of for 3 monthes by this point". would have loved it if Susy & I would have loved it if Susy & I raised & let her come by once a week & PLAY Mommy. Kin & Sue lived back in Mo. near Susy's sister. We felt the further we could get away from the beter. Ken & Sue had a daughter. So Susy & I clame her as our granddaughter & love Abey the same as .

Last year about this time, 's wife had a misscarge. So far they talk like if they try again it will be awhile. So we might need up with 2 grandkids. But on the bright side with only 2, we can really spoil them.

Have a good time, Dave. I go next Monday. I just bought my fishing license on line this morning. There is a nice beaver pond a mile or so into the woods that I want to try. Also horned pout for breakfast. :-)

My daughter has been telling me she hates me since

she was about 3. I tell her " good, that means I'm

doing my job right " I don't take it personally cuz I

know she'll love me a few hours later.

My daughter's dad disappeared about 6 years ago.

Although he comes to town once in awhile, we never

hear from him. I just hear from other people that they

run into him. We have left it up to if she

wants to be adopted by Greg, but she wants to keep her

dad's name. We all know Greg is her dad, though.

Had a great week. The weather was gorgeous (though a bit hot). Got some good bass fishing in, the largemouth were plentiful. My son beat me out this year in our annual contest. I had the trophy last year. Sucks to be back to work, but...

Luckily my son loves playing at the pool. So I could sit and read and watch much of the time. I had energy for fishing also, although I found I was especially susceptible to the sun. You'll have a great time! -dz-

Dave, I hope you enjoy your vaction time this year. With 6 monthes of peg-combo under my belt. I have an idea of how you felt last year. But it looks like our Lord & Savior has taken good care of yoy & taken that old dragon off of your back. My vaction is just over 2 monthes & I am counting the day's till we fly out of here & head back & see our grandkids. Thank you. I will! Today is my last long day. It'll make my vacation that much better. I wasn't able to truly enjoy my vacation last year, what with hauling my interferon around with me. I had to keep the cooler packed with ice to chill it. I timed my physical with my pcr test and just got the results back, my alt was 37 and ast was 22. I don't mean to pry and please feel free to tell me Noneya None ya business. However you mention depression and the spending and that is a classic symptom of yet a larger diagnosis. We have a member of our family that was diagnosed and is on medication and things are more stable. There really is help for this if its what it sounds like. It has made a world of difference in our extended family situation. [ ] Vacation Hi all. Back from vacation. I skimmed through all the messages, so sorry if I missed anything. I know what ya'll mean about finances. After my wife became disabled I tried to work our budget. I took a second job and started paying down some of our debt so we could get by on less. I paid of my wife's fingerhut and credit card (they had high interest) and paid some down on mine. Now I found out she went on a QVC spree and ran her card all the way up! Frustrating! Anyway, she called and arranged to send it all back, so I guess we'll get out of it. She suffers from depression and when she gets on a manic she has this shopping thing.... She's been pretty distraught since the loss of her dog and then she was home alone for a few days before joining my son and I camping. I found a couple of nice dogs at the pound and I'm going to see if I can get one. There's a chocolate lab, 8 mos old and a shepherd mix 1 year old. I thought it would be nice to save one from the pound if we could. Had a great vacation, we did lots of biking. It was dampened by quite a wicked rainstorm and we slept in damp sleeping bags for the last 3 nights, but still better than the best week I've had at work all year!!! :) -dz-
