Diane,

My daughter was on IV Rifampin last summer and is now taking oral. Be aware

that urine and tears will turn dark. She herxed on the IV, but it was no worse

than any other herx. She has yet to herx on the oral. She has had no ill side

effects.

Have comfort measures handy:

Epsom salt baths with hydrogen peroxide

Alka Seltzer Gold

Lemon water (whole lemon squeezed into 8 oz. water. Or you can mix the Alka

Seltzer Gold in the lemon water. Haven't tried that, but heard it was good.)
