Your poor little one.  My younger daughter definitely had speech issues --

which we were told basically would " go away " but she still has some (a lot

better)  She has congenital Lyme but was only diagnosed at age 11.  Better

when treated, worse when herxing.  A LOT worse.  She has a foot that turns in

too when she is really tired or herxing.  When she started getting better it

corrected itself.  I would bet the speech will improve when your baby starts

improving.

So sorry.  Poor little one.  Poor you.

My three year old was infected when he was only 1 and 3/4 and his

speech took a dive for the worse. He now has been diagnosed with sever

Apraxia and we have been in speech therapy 5x/wk for 9 months and 1x/

wk before that (and after being infected). Do any of your children

have speech problems or delays that were caused by Lyme and its co-

infections? What has helped (we are also on the correct fish oils).

And he has been on Mepron and Azith and Amox. forever. He has a cold

right now and his speech deteriorated hugely. I am thinking that that

is also an indication that Lyme is a huge factor here. Do any of your

kids get worse Lyme symptoms when they have a cold or get sick? Thanks

so much for any advice you may have.

my daughter also had severe speech disorders, in kindergarten no one knew what

she was saying.  she improved dramatically after iv antibiotics but still has a

ways to go....she was on zosyn, gentamycin and meropenem (not all at the same

time)....(for various other infections as well)
