Guest guest
I have suffered with serious arthritic pain and swelling since 2002, severe lower back pain even longer that that. From 2002-2005 I really had no answer to what was wrong with me, in May 2005 a doctor at the VA told me I had fibromyalgia, I wasn't happy but I thought OK at least now I have an answer to all my pain and fatigue and I can go from here, medications I tried over the years were ineffective, I suffer from PTSD and thought maybe the fibromyalgia was a result of that so I started seeing a rheumatologist at the VA who said I really do not believe it is this fibro. you suffer from so she ordered tests. The results of a full body bone scan has shown that almost every joint in my body is affected. After talking with the Doc at the VA, she came up with a new diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis and I am getting ready to start Humira. I have lived in almost constant pain since early 2002 now it is 2010, I have all over joint pain constantly, my hands have a few years ago started to become deformed. My children had to move back east in 2005 to go live with their Grandma and finish school. I lost one job and had to sell a home before it went into foreclosure, now I am trying to keep from loosing my current job due to absence from pain, fatigue and lack of sleep. I don't know how to adjust my life to this or to help my family to adjust. I am overwhelmed and upset at the damage that has been done to me unnecessarily.
