Guest guest Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 My daughter's nurse would rub the area sort of hard after the shot to disperse the thick bicillin, which helped some. Then heat packs over the shot site for 10-15 min. helped as well as walking around. She did the emla cream too, and it seemed to help also.
