Guest guest
My 13 year has had the exact same thing for years and though it was worse this time of year she had the coughing year round. I took her to an allergy/asthma specialist and even though her lung function tests were fairly normal the doctor said she has mild asthma. The dr. put her on singular along with the nose spray and allergy meds she already takes. I was amazed at the difference just after a few days on singular. Even one day without the singular and my daughter starts having the drainage and coughing again. best wishes Tricia
Guest guest
Thank you so much for this information - took her into her CFS doctor and asked for singular - he did another breathing test and said she has the croup infection.........nothing to do but rest....in fact told me that every-time she gets an infection it will in turn be croup for her........this didnt make much sense to me as she never really has gotten over this infection since last March......blessed at this same time to be starting back into lyme treatment and talked with the doc and he said this infection has to be treated with an antibiotic........well the reg docs did last year when she was so ill but the abx they gave her are not the right ones for croup!! Arrggg - why do I only trust an LLMD with our life.........well..........so I pray after the worst eight months of her life she will be back on the road to life again...........bless you all and thanks again for always helping!!!! Love you all!! diane ________________________________ From: Tricia Soderstrom <TriciaSod@...> Sent: Thu, September 9, 2010 1:38:55 PM Subject: Re: [ ] 11 yr old with bark cough and very ill?  My 13 year has had the exact same thing for years and though it was worse this time of year she had the coughing year round. Guest guest
I'm glad you're getting answers. My daughter was never given antibiotics for her croup. I did however start giving her Childrens ACF by Buried Treasure each time she began getting sick. It also helped to boost her immune system and has herbs that help with the mucous and coughing. It kept her from getting worse but right now we are very thankful for the singular. Looking forward to better days! Tricia
