Guest guest
The remedy A-Bart has Garlic in it. And I think garlic is a remedy for candida. I believe it helps me and if I get too much can cause a herx response. Guest guest
Hi le. My Lyme provider placed me on garlic tablets at one point in my treatment so as to serve as a cyst buster. I believe it did just that as I did experience a JH reaction. Every so often I go back on them to give my body a jolt of cyst busting activity from which I do feel the effects. My question to you is how in the world do you consume so many cloves and still interact with others??? The scent just seems to ooze out of my pores even on the odorless tablets!! Guest guest
wow, thanks for all the responses. i get the garlic at the local health food store in their salad bar, the manager told me it is raw and one batch marinated in oil and jalapenoes, and another is in oil and sun-dried tomatoes, they both taste absolutely delicous, not offensive at all, even my 10 year old eats them!!! no one has told me i " smell " but i do have garlic breath right after i eat them. i have wondered if i was not a good detoxer and maybe i am not and that is why i don't omit the odor??? Guest guest
Hello - I have a Lyme buddy who had amazing results using a product called : " Allimax " The claim is that the crucial ingredient in garlic is ALLICIN; this product (there are not many others claiming this criteria) is supposed to be pure allicin. It is Expensive. (Like 1$ per day) but more than one Lymie has posted about it at the site: " CanLyme " Also about preserving garlic - where I live I find pickled garlic in all the Eastern Euro stores - in the condiments section of the store. Certain that there are healthy ways to prepare and store our garlic, agree that caution is always best. Do not know if the pickling retains the allicin or not. I am thinking of the Allimax product as I work with the public and cannot risk smelling of garlic. I used to eat it raw all the time, and it literally came out of my pores!! Had to stop as I smelled too bad! > > > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > > From: le Handy <kndplus2@> > > Date: Fri, Mar 18, 2011 at 9:48 PM > > Subject: garlic and lyme > > CaliforniaLyme > > > > > > i have been on antibiotics/herbs/supplements for the past 2 yrs. and i was > > doing great, i just started eating raw garlic marinated in olive oil about a > > week ago. i have eaten about 10-15 cloves per day purely because it tasted > > so good. i noticed that i started to feel " yucky " again: very tired, blah, > > dizzy/off balance, mild headaches, lots of the symptoms i used to have but > > pretty mild, i am still functional, but before this i was painting my house, > > ripping up carpet, working out, and going nonstop, so i do notice this small > > decline. i found a lot of info on garlic and lyme and that it can cause a > > herx , which i didn't even think of when i was popping them in my mouth! i > > also read that it kills cyst form. anyone have any experience with garlic or > > any info to share? > > thanks, > > danielle > > > > > >

It is Expensive. according to the article mentioned last week here about garlic, pure Allicin is not possible. The article looks pretty solid, but that's just my impression. I guess Allimax is a good product (I have heard about it before), but is it much better than other garlic products (freezedried garlic etc.)? I'm a bit sceptical about expensive health products with clever marketing ...
