Guest guest
Hi I'm also glad about your daughter. My son is 14 years old and also had the same symptoms as your daughter. I find this very interesting and would like to hear more also. My son is on antibotics and they have hepled about 70 percent. " What caught my eye was I got my daughter back " , I have been saying this since my son got antibiotics. Thaniks In a message dated 3/15/2011 9:33:11 P.M. She is 9 years old and has Lyme and Bartonella. Her symptoms are all neurologically and psychologically based - motor, vocal tics, anger, hostility, aggression, rage, anxiety, ocd, volatility etc. Prior to the blood clot, she was raging out of the control and we were attempting to put in a midline to treat with Rocephin intravenously. We were also getting ready to treat with major psychotropic drugs. One week into the injections, all of my daughters symptoms subsided. She has been symptom free since February 3rd. There is no more hostility, anger, aggression - nothing. For two years, we tried every antibiotic you can imagine - IVIG, midlines, all of it. And amazingly it took Lovenox to relieve her symptoms. Based on the limited research I have done, I now understand that she has coagulation issues and that is why she has not gotten better in the past. She has not had a Lovenox shot since March 3 and I am told that the Lovenox will ware off in 5-6 weeks. I am fearful that all of her symptoms will come back at that time. So my questions to all of you are: If you have coagulation issues and use blood thinners, how often do you have to use the blood thinners? Can you stay on the Blood Thinners for an extended period of time? What do the blood thinners do as it relates to Lyme? Do you have a doctor that you use who prescribes blood thinners? If so, can you pass on their contact info? Can you provide any additional research about Coagulation and Lyme? Are they injections? If not, what do you use? What blood tests did you run to find out that you had coagulation issues? Any information that you can pass on is greatly appreciated. I feel blessed that I have finally figured out a HUGE piece of the puzzle and know how to heal my daughter. Now, I just need to find a way to continue to give her blood thinners. We have been on bolouke for over a year now and I feel sure she will stay on it. Guest guest
Hi I have another son that had/has tested positive about eight times for Lyme. His hands now turn purple. Someone on another blog suggested this: also look into nattokinase and lumbrokinase. look into biofilms from chronic infection. lyme makes the blood thick. my daughter got a clot from her picc line. put her on coumodin. felt better than she has in 3 years. HELLO! i researched this one, let me tell you! she said that " my hands are so WARM!!!!! now! i don't have to wear gloves in JULY! look into blood thinning herbs ginko and vitamin E. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil also have some blood thinning effect and are naturally anti-inflammatory as well. (therapeutic dose is about 1500 mg EPA and 750 mg DHA - most products don't supply enough in a reasonable number of pills, but GNC's Triple Strength product does.) She woman is a nutritionist in Canada. I didn't want to put her name here. Guest guest
Wow ... that's great news! Even the tics are gone? That's my son's main issue, so I am definitely interested in this approach. I had read about Bolouke (lumbrokinase) on other Lyme boards and had considered trying it, but now I will definitely be ordering some. I have read that Lyme (and other chronic infections) cause hypercoagulation issues, so perhaps that's why the blood thinners provide relief of symptons... more blood/oxygen getting to areas that need it. Here are a couple of abstracts that relate to Lyme binding to plasmin. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8926103 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7809084 My son was tested for PAI-1 (Plasminogin Activator Inhibitor) and MTHFR gene mutation. PAI-1 affects coagulation and MTHFR affects methylation, which somehow ties into the whole issue. I truly don't understand it all (wish I did). He had singnle mutations for both. Good luck!! Glad you have finally seen improvement! Beth > > Hi All - > > Recently my daughter got a blood clot from a failed midline and we had to do 5 weeks of Lovenox injections.
