Guest guest
I don't know if I posted the weekend before Thanksgiving when it was happening, but on our 3rd night in a row of going to the ER, they admitted my 15 yr. old son, Cameron for pain control of his PA. He'd just had his birthday party that day, too. He was there for 4 days, the first spent in the ER being admitted. In the military that takes several hours evidentally. He was given IV meds including: Toradol, Dilaudid, Fenergan, and Solu-Medrol. He received 3 Medrol infusions in a span of 5 days. It was what he needed, though, to get out of the wheelchair and to be able to function. He was in such excruiciating pain, that dilaudid did almost nothing. I'm so thankful for the compassionate and pro- active attitude of all the staff, and I want to make sure to thank the ER folks, most of whom know us because of our 21 ER visits since June. (Ten were for Cameron.) I'm thinking a letter and some home- baked goodies. The good news, besides him walking, is that my husband is home from deployment with a 1 year humanitarian transfer to help me. We've had multiple medical crises, if you couldn't tell by the ER count. I'd especially love to hear from anyone who fought this as a kid or whose kid is fighting it. I found a juvenille group, but most of them have spond. . . .
