PsA and Fibro?

Since my Dr. visit last week I'm confused.

I've been taking sulfasalazine for 3 months. In that time my pain

has worsened. I expected my Rheumy to perscribe something more or

different but he said the joints in my hands felt better than on any

previous visit. I have one of the mildest cases he sees in his

office and there was no damage on my bone scan. He thinks I'm doing

great.

My hands and one foot hurt 6 months ago and now in addition to those

pains my right shoulder, both elbows and knees also hurt. My energy

level has dipped as well. My Doc said it may be in my head and said

I seemed anxious which could make Fibromyalgia worse. Then the

checked me for Fibro and said I could have that too OR it could be in

my head........

So.... I've been trying to ignore these pains as they are 'only in my

head'. I feel a bit more relaxed as my joints feel so good to the

Dr. but I can't take a shower without the elbow hurting so I can't

exactly forget about it.

I think for a Fibro diagnosis you need to hurt in 11 of the 16 places

characteristic of the problem and I'm probably at about 7. I'm

really not looking to have a Fibro diagnosis and I'm confused on how

to seperate PsA and Fibro pains if I have both. I'm really having a

hard time getting motivated to diet or exercise.
