Guest guest
Natasha my daughter has started taking the Byron White Formula's (as well as being on IV abx & lots of other meds & supplements), & we have found that taking the extra sydetox drops as well helps to prevent herx reactions and lessens them when they do come. Our LLMD sent us the sydetox drops at the same time as the A-L & A-Bab drops, with an information sheet on how to use them. I've found with H I have to be fairly strict on how I give them (ie on an empty stomach, 15 mins apart), but they are having a great effect - hurray, finally some good news. I hope this helps. Cheers Nikki My daughters are rife with new Bartonella streaks all over their poor bodies. Their LLMD agreed to put them on the Byron White Bart protocol. They start with one drop twice a day and work up to 20. I got the idea to ask for it from what people posted on this site. If you have any warnings or thoughts for me, I'd appreciate hearing them. I'm a little discouraged at how tenaciously the Bartonella has taken hold. Thanks Natasha
Guest guest
Hi Natasha, Meg is doing well with the drops. Dr. H started using them with many patients last fall and now is learning that with people who are sensitive he needs to start them slower. He had Meg do one drop in a glass on day one and ONLY drink 1/3 of the glass. On day two she drank the other 2/3rds and on day three she got one drop twice a day. He said he finds that for people that herx a lot it is best to only increase the drops every 3-4 days not every 1-2 as often recommended. Meg did well increasing it every 2-3 days and found a herx reaction at 4 drops twice a day. We cut back to 3 the next day and she is staying there until after her trip this weekend to a conference. Dr. H said it is one step forward one back. You increase and when you react, you back up, and then a day or so later try to increase again. Or maybe just add the extra drop at night and not to both AM/PM. He says these are very very potent and really kick butt. Our friends started them in Nov and are up to 4 to 6 drops. (Mom and daughter). They are seeing help at this point and Meg is too. Dr. H said you go until you get a benefit which for some people is a lot less drops than for another. And Meg takes those syn-detox drops too. Dr. H said in people that usually herx he is finding less reactions with those and slow increases. I am pleased with how Meg is tolerating them and holding steady. Guest guest
Natasha: I am sorry to hear that your daughters' health has changed. All of you deserve a break in 2011! I hope the Byron White provides what they need to be done with the Bart for good. I have no experience with the protocol. Are the girls in school? Do they feel sicker with the skin changes? Nate and I are off to Chicago today to see our ILADS doctor. It is usually a 5 hour drive. I wonder how long it will be in the snow. He is starting to dread the trip. k will do a phone consult instead of making the drive with us. We will stay overnight and I will meet up with a Lyme mom I met on the internet. It will be our second live visit and I look forward to talking with her. Her son was just diagnosed with KPU and may be why he hasn't seen a lot of changes with treatment. Both of our kids had POTS and obviously undiagnosed Lyme for years. How are you feeling? How is the business? Kari
