Guest guest
Many years ago a ND recommended Xia Yao Wan (pronounced sha ya won) also called 'free and easy wanderer' to me for anxiety. It looks like little rabbit turds, you take 8 at a time, up to 3x/day. It helps me alot when I'm having anxiety symptoms, I only need to take 8 pills 1x/day. She said it is such a mild herb combination that Chinese woman give it to their children. The herb is also recommended for PMS symptoms. I have given it to my 11 year old daughter a few times when she is having anxiety issues and it does seem to help, I just give her 4 little rabbit turds
Guest guest
thanks Barb--Im always looking for safer antianxiety stuff I looked it up ( the easier list came from wiki but was confirmed by 3 other herbal sites)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiao_Yao_Wan Some may instead wish to try other formulas with the top 2 ingredients, and also be aware there is licorice (glycchoriza) in it like many Chinese formulae--and those of us with high blood pressure and/or dysutonomia with irregular BP cant have licorice unless its DGL ( the part called glyccrhyn taken out) the top 3 are bupluerum( also good for liver sx), peony(antispasmodic) and angelica(gyn stuff and lowers BP)--all 3 known for their calmative actions too. one ingred --the mushroom Poria--is a sedative and diuretic ( the last action may be why its helpful in PMS!!!) thanks again---and the rabbit turd description had me cracking up--loved it [ ] anti-anxiety herb Many years ago a ND recommended Xia Yao Wan (pronounced sha ya won) also called 'free and easy wanderer' to me for anxiety.?
