Guest guest
I use them with modifications and think the Wii helps my balance. I put a tall straight-backed chair in front of the board and hang onto it. I put the board right in front of my recliner so I can " fall " back into it if needed. My knees don't bend but on some of the activities I can fool it by just going up on my toes and coming down on my heels. There are several exercises I simply can't do but I do find the balance ones (and selected others) good exercise for me. Janette
Guest guest
Yes I have those. When I first got my Wii fit I worked out with it 97 days in a row and lost about 12 pounds so I was very happy with that. Then I did an experiment where instead of working out I used that mobility to give my dog a longer walk and I actually lost more weight per week that way. I concluded the main benefit of it was that it made me more aware of my weight. Most of the programs do not have the intensity you need to really burn calories although the Wii fit plus is a bit better in that respect as you can chain the exercises together instead of stopping between each one. There are other programs you can get that use the Wii balance board that will get your heart beating better. I have a boxing one and yesterday I tried the Biggest Loser and that one had me dying within minutes. I can't do anything for very long because my knees are very bad. Guest guest
We have the Wii fit plus. You definitely can get aerobic exercise using it if you move with the activities. It is mostly in a game format which is not appealing to some. There are yoga stretches and strengthening exercises. I have not used the strengthening ones but have done the yoga stretches. They have helped me with my balance and posture. Your best bet would be to find someone who has it and preview it. We are very happy with it because our one son has balance and strength issues which require therapy. He is working on these things while having fun when using the Wii. It is $100.00 for the whole setup for Wii fit plus. Patty
Guest guest
I bought the Wii for my wife, and my mother-in-law bought her Wii Fit Plus. We have done a little here and there, it seems pretty cool so far. It helps with stretching and limbering up. I think if we spent a little more time on it, it would help a bit. I would completely recommend it. L.
