Eileen,

I also have had trouble with P on my eyelid.  Mine was on the inner corner,

however.  I find that when I eat too much bread, sugar, caffeine, chocolate

etc. (basically whatever exacerbates my flares) I get this eyelid thing a day or

two later. It resolves when I clean up my diet. I also rub the inside of banana

peel on this area when it flares. I know that sounds weird, but it does give me

some relief.  Hope this helps, Patty

Eileen: anything relating to the eye or a potential infection in or around the

eye should probably be seen by an ophthalmologist. I think I'd call today and

try to get in on an emergency basis. Ophthalmologists normally leave time for

such things because problems with the eye can escalate so quickly and some can

cause permanent damage. (I just went through this a few weeks ago - not your

problem but just a constant irritation in my eye that turned out to be a small

cyst caused by a immunological reaction to normally occurring bacteria that's

there.)

Just make sure the pain and swelling you are feeling isn't the eye itself. If

it is that can be an indication of iritis and needs to be treated with drops so

the pressure doesn't get to high.

Hope you are feeling better soon.
