Guest guest
Is anyone doing the elimination diet of not eating nightshade fruits and vegetables? I am on week three and starting to feel some relief. B
Guest guest
Hi Barb, I am not, but I tried it 22 years ago when diagnosed. It made no difference for me, but a person would be a total fool not to experiment with eliminating these foods, which, for some with arthritis, are real culprits. I hope your response continues. Guest guest
What is Nightshade fruits and vegetables? I have severe psoriasis, PA and also Type 2 Diabetes. I am eating a lot of most veggies, some fruits, very little meat and no desserts to try and loose about 50 lbs. or so. I weight right now 175 lbs. on a very small frame and it is causing me a lot of pressure and pain in my muscles and joints. Mostly my hands, legs and feet. I think if I can loose this excess weight,I will feel much better.
Guest guest
Hi Barb, > Is anyone doing the elimination diet of not eating nightshade fruits and > vegetables? Yes! Of all the diet changes I tried, this was the only that helped. Tomatoes really make my symptoms worse. Potatoes have only very slight effect. Eggplant is in between. > I am on week three and starting to feel some relief. That seems rather slow. For me, tomatoes have " next-day " effect! Eliminating them showed improvement after just three days. Now I wish I would know what else is bad. Lately I have been worse, and that coincides with my eating lots of wild fruit whish are ripening here in my little paradise. I don't know which one, if any, is the culprit! And eliminating them all seems such a waste! But my left foot is in a condition better suited for a scientific display, than for walking on it! I have trouble getting it into any sort of shoe. Still, life goes on... And if anybody wants to know what my little paradise is about, then look here: http://www.ludens.cl/paradise/paradise.html Manfred. Indeed it's a lot of work for now, but better times shall come! ;-) > I would love it if you would keep us posted on your progress I will keep updating the pages about my little paradise, but between all the work I have to do, sometimes there is no update for weeks. > and let > us know at least the general location of your little bit of heaven > on earth . . . . Well, take a map, look up Chile, and roughly at 38 degrees southern latitude you will find the Llaima volcano. A bit west of it is the town of Cherquenco. Further west is the larger town of Vilcun, and even further west is the city of Temuco. My paradise is located pretty close to Cherquenco, but with better road connections to Vilcun. Is that close enough? And no, there are no nightshades growing in my paradise!
