Guest guest
Yep, it's very common. Your breathing controls your heart rate so try doing some slow deep breathing exercises while you're in the waiting room or while you're waiting for the doc to show up. This should help slow your heart rate down quit a bit. Mike On Fri, Dec 17, 2010 at 4:53 PM, mikt4 <mikt4@...> wrote: > > > Have any of you guys out there ever experienced this? Guest guest
Yes I have this I take my own BP it stores the readings so my Dr. can page back though them to see how I am doing. Other wise they put me on a lot of BP meds and I pass out with I stand up. Guest guest
Years ago, I took an insurance physical at the insurance company's office and my blood pressure was high 150/80 for me. Because I had faulty directions to their office, the traffic was bad that day and I was late to the appointment, I was rather " upset " when I arrived. They retook my blood pressure after several minutes when I had finally calmed down. My blood pressure was normal. Many things affect one's blood pressure at any given time. If you have your blood pressure taken and it seems unusually high to you, ask to have it retaken. Perhaps it is just high because your not as relaxed as you'd normally be....like when you are at home. Prime > > Have any of you guys out there ever experienced this? Guest guest
my GP actually wanted to put me on med's for it, I insisted it was OK when I did it at home, but he wasn't happy about it, I wonder how many people are on med's that don't actually need them? Guest guest
Four times in my life starting at age 25 I let Dr.'s put me on BP meds because my BP was high in there office. Each time I went back in they still got high BP levels and kept giving me more upping the dose until I was passing out at work. I was lucky the place I worked at was big and had a Dr. there he took my BP and told me is was very low. When I went back to my Dr. he tried to tell me I still needed BP meds and to try a diff. one. I was still passing out at work from low BP. I just stopped taking them. Then a few yrs. later a diff. Dr. did this same thing to me telling me it can kill me. The same thing happened the last Dr. that wanted to do this to me put me in the hosp. to do around the clock checking of my BP. It was then they figured out I had WCF. I am 66 today and had heart bypass surgery and take a low dose Beta-Blocker for my heart and the heart Dr. has me take 5 mgs of Cialis to keep my BP in check. He tired all kinds of BP meds and they all were to strong Cialis works great.
