Guest guest
Howdy......I am Kirk Bonanny (Wilkes-Barre, Pa) and have had muscle pain that can be severe at times since I was diagnosed with Stills. There has actually been many instances of my wife (and others while in the " resort " ) tell me that I will scream like hell at night, and knowing that severe/sharp muscle pain wakes me right up numerous times at night I can imagine that it must be the same reason I scream. I never made any noise prior to being nailed by this. One thing I do know is to have her RD order blood work & check every conceivable level, such as Potassium, Iron etc...... If Potassium is low, that can cause it, but then again so will a lot of other things. I've never had an answer in 4+ years, but I also have other problems. Have her try to eat a banana before going to bed to see if it makes any difference in the mean time. Hope she's feeling better. Adios, Kirk. > > Hi all I was wondering if anyone else has sore muscles when they awake > in the morning? wife gets up and tries to walk and her legs hurt so > much it brings ears to her eyes she says they hurt on the front of > her thighs feels like sharp pins sticking her all over her thighs > > > -- Everything in life sucks except things that should! Guest guest
I have sore muscles all the time. The get better after I move around and worse again in the afternoon. I find that swimming helps. It's the only exercise that I have found that has helped the sore muscles. They have caused me extreme pain also. Hugs,

Guest guest
I wish I could swim......it isn't that I " can't " as I've been an outstanding swimmer (even saved 2 people in different situations while fishing down the Susquehanna River) but now when I get into water less than 80 degrees or so I get wicked chills and start shaking uncontrollably! I hate it as I would love to be able to go into our pool in the summer and play with my kids, but unless that water is really warm I can't. I think I've been in the pool 3 times in the last 4+ years, and that is with a solar cover! I can't afford to heat it, besides most heated outdoor pools really take the enjoyment out of it and tend to " slime up " really fast. Besides that, the hotter I feel......the better. Guest guest
I have to swim in warm water too.. It has to be at least 88 degrees or warmer or I can't take it... I'm looking forward to being in a really warm place this summer (TN) instead of Seattle. I always feel better when we went on vacation and were in warmer weather and Seattle doesn't get very warm - even in the summer...

Guest guest
Same here. Before i was diagnosed, my worst problem was severe pain in my legs - muscle pain. Swimming helped ease the pain somewhat, though it was never bearable. Swimming makes a huge difference for me. Allows movement of the muscles and joints without the impact. Guest guest
That sounds like pretty typical delayed onset muscle soreness. My muscles always hurt the worse 2 days after lifting. ________________________________ From: jasrich <jasrich100@...> Sent: Mon, May 24, 2010 2:58:03 PM Subject: Sore muscles Has anyone else experienced muscle soreness that occurs 48 hours or more after exercise and that doesn't subside for days afterwards? My inner thigh muscles and right hamstring are so tight and sore and I have done nothing that could account for it since I did " gentle yoga " on Thursday evening. I used to be one of those people who was more sore 48 hours after a hard workout than the day after but, exercising the same muscles again would resolve most of the soreness and it would totally subside after another couple of days. Last week on Sunday I worked out legs for the first time since winter (due to the adductor and ankle injuries) - and not even that hard. The day following I was a little sore, but normal. Two days later I woke up with R hamstring hard as iron and aching so bad that I could seriously barely walk on it all day. The next day it was significantly better and, the day after that I went to gentle yoga, which really isn't that rigorous, but it does involve a fair amount of stretching and strain on the legs. Again, I was pretty much fine on Friday and Saturday, hams were a little tight but not bad. Yesterday I went to stretch and the ham felt like I pulled it and it's just as bad today. I know that this part of my over-all syndrome/illness but I'm just wondering if anyone has the same kind of problem. I am not currently taking any kind of TRT or other sex hormone supplementation but I do take T4 and T3 for thyroid. Last labs showed me as slightly hyperT although I feel more like hypo. Guest guest
if your working on a injury and have low Testosterone it will do this your body needs Testosterone to heal. So what ever you do go very slow like you were a old man working on an injury. Guest guest
Heck,.....my calf muscles hurt almost constantly from simply working and walking. Nothing horrendous, but they ache like I have done a nice work-out everyday. I do have to walk a lot in my job though.
