Guest guest
I've been doing back squats for 15 years, and the only time I experienced a significant hamstring injury was when I warmed up on the elliptical machine for 10 minutes prior to doing squats. The next day, my hamstring was really sore, and the day after that, I had extensive black and blue colors on that muscle. I took me over a year to regain 95% flexibility on that leg. Delayed-onset muscle soreness hits me one to two days after a really good workout, and it always resolves after three days. If pain is persisting after that, you may have experienced muscle damage, ________________________________ From: jasrich <jasrich100@...> Sent: Mon, May 24, 2010 3:58:03 PM Subject: Sore muscles  Has anyone else experienced muscle soreness that occurs 48 hours or more after exercise and that doesn't subside for days afterwards? My inner thigh muscles and right hamstring are so tight and sore and I have done nothing that could account for it since I did " gentle yoga " on Thursday evening. I used to be one of those people who was more sore 48 hours after a hard workout than the day after but, exercising the same muscles again would resolve most of the soreness and it would totally subside after another couple of days. Last week on Sunday I worked out legs for the first time since winter (due to the adductor and ankle injuries) - and not even that hard. The day following I was a little sore, but normal. Two days later I woke up with R hamstring hard as iron and aching so bad that I could seriously barely walk on it all day. The next day it was significantly better and, the day after that I went to gentle yoga, which really isn't that rigorous, but it does involve a fair amount of stretching and strain on the legs. Again, I was pretty much fine on Friday and Saturday, hams were a little tight but not bad. Yesterday I went to stretch and the ham felt like I pulled it and it's just as bad today. I know that this part of my over-all syndrome/illness but I'm just wondering if anyone has the same kind of problem. I am not currently taking any kind of TRT or other sex hormone supplementation but I do take T4 and T3 for thyroid. Last labs showed me as slightly hyperT although I feel more like hypo. Guest guest
I'm reading up on low adrenals and that can cause it. Do you feel tired during the day, trouble sleeping, hypoglycemia? That's me. I also understand bad adrenals can lower other hormones. My T was in the dumps and my thyroid was looking pretty bad too. I'm on replacement for those. > > Has anyone else experienced muscle soreness that occurs 48 hours or more after exercise and that doesn't subside for days afterwards? Guest guest
All I can tell you is my T is low,.....I am waiting to find out what the cause is before I do anything. I have pains in my leg muscles all the time,.....especially my calf muscles after simply doing my normal job. I can only work out with very light weights at this point. My legs feel like I have walked 10 miles each and every day. Wish I could contribute more.

Guest guest
Muscles get sore, low T or not. Could be your shoes. Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Re: Sore muscles Heck,.....my calf muscles hurt almost constantly from simply working and walking. Nothing horrendous, but they ache like I have done a nice work-out everyday. I do have to walk a lot in my job though.
Guest guest
I felt better when I got my Testosteone levels up into the upper 1/3 of my labs range my pain went away. Guest guest
Yes, I feel fatigued all of time, especially the day after strenous exercuse, I have trouble sleeping, and my blood sugar flucuates too widely from low to high. I'm on T4 and T4 and my thyroid levels are good but I'm clearly not optimized in some way. I'm also on a low dose of anti-thyroid meds to control Graves antibodies (I have Hashis and Graves) I'm seeing Dr. next month who I hope will able to help me figure out all of my hormone issues. Guest guest
Marc, Are you sure your not having sciatica pain? I spent half my life thinking sciatica pain was muscle pain because my high school gym teacher told me that's what it was.
