Guest guest
Since we have started TRT we have ran mandatory hypercoaquablity panels. Several guys on TRT showed up positive for specific genetic imbalances in these panels. These panels are designed to identify genetic clotting factors which can potentially be very dangerous esp to guys on TRT. SO please get these panels done by your DR so he can be aware of this vital information.

Guest guest
Is a series of tests that check for genetic clotting factors that are highly over looked in TRT and need to be ruled out. > > What are these tests called? > > Sendt fra min iPhone > > Den 9. jan. 2011 kl. 20.24 skrev " hardasnails1973 " <hardasnails1973@...>: > > Since we have started TRT we have ran mandatory hypercoaquablity panels. Guest guest
When listed on the lab sheet we just identify as hypercoaquability profile. Hypercoagulation Profile Antithrombin Activity, Plasma Prt C Activity (Chromogenic) Protein S Activity (clottable) Factor V Leiden > > Do you have the names? >
Guest guest
Thanks! I doubt all labs in the world can run these though. Or are they normal rests that most labs have? Shouldn't Hertoghe run these for me anyway? He has not. From: hardasnails1973 <hardasnails1973@...> Subject: Re: If on TRT please notify your dr. Guest guest
A guy I know who was on TRT starting having clotting issues and because his dr ran these he was able to make adjustments in meds accodingly. There are only a few Drs that run these test overbeck is one of them. After this post gets out I am sure more will soon follow This test is jus done as a precaution and in the several hundreds of guys we have done a good hand full showed up with these red flags. > > > > > > Do you have the names? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
All this talk about new tests and drugs and paneling, its a bit overwelming. I am still dealing with what docs can't figure out what happened to me in Nov. Its not easy finding endo docters that are willing to sign off on these tests, including insurance costs. Please be careful when talking about tests, etc that are unnecessary for many here or are specific to a man's symptoms. Its not so easy to just pick a new endo doc that is willing and takes your insurance. Provide low cost testing ways, that a man can do on his own w/o a docs approval. I would feel better spending a reasonable enough on labs that I can pick what to test rather than finding another endo now. If on TRT please notify your dr. Guest guest
We have alot of patients that come to us that pay cash for both visit and lab testing. In these cases the dr needs to narrow down the testing to bare minimal to get the data required. I am getting to work on a case where a guy has been to mayoclinic and other numerous dr's that have not been able to put their finger on it yet. I love cases like this because working on them will provide vital infomation for future cases. Each case is a new learning experience. > > All this talk about new tests and drugs and paneling, its a bit overwelming. I am still dealing with what docs can't figure out what happened to me in Nov. Guest guest
I am sorry to have to say this but if your problems are not due to high sugar levels Endo's are not good Dr.'s for low Hormones. You will find this all over the web from one forum to the other. A Dr. will do a Total Testosterone test on a man find him low. And send him to see an Endo thinking they should be the specialist for Hormones. They are not and Uro's are not very good also. It's not about the kind of Dr. it's about one that has low T or treats a lot of men for the problem. I have over the last 30 yrs seen 7 Endo's not one helped me I feel they riped me off for my money. The would not even look at my labs telling me some bull about the labs I had done were no good. Telling me they needed to take me off TRT and do a Base Line Set of labs sending them to there lab. Well all they found out was how dam sick they made me taking me off TRT. And my BCBS would not pay for the labs they ordered because the labs they owned were not approved for my BCBS. So it cost me thousands of $'s. And they still did not get it right telling me I am Primary when after 23 yrs of this crap I found out I am Secondary. Now knowing what I know today there is no such thing as taking someone off TRT to do a Base Line Set of labs. You can stop TRT for 4 months yes one took me off TRT that long the labs all ways came back the same. Not able to show them why I was low and this is because once you start on TRT you can't stop it and find out why your low on labs. Your body will not jump back in and make it's own Testosterone let alone send LH and FSH to your testis to tell if your Primary or Secondary. So if you don't feel I am right go to other forums and read what men say about seeing an Endo for this problem. http://www.musclechatroom.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s= & daysprune= & f=2 http://anabolicminds.com/forum/male-anti-aging/ http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/mens-health-forum/ http://tnation.t-nation.com/free_online_forum/sports_training_performance_bodybu\ ilding_trt?pageNo=1 & s=forumsNavTop http://www.definitivemind.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17 Co-Moderator Phil > From: UU <uu1845@...> > Subject: RE: If on TRT please notify your dr. > > Date: Monday, January 10, 2011, 1:34 AM > All this talk about new tests and > drugs and paneling, its a bit overwelming.
