Guest guest
When dealing with T levels you need to look at factors that can affect it bioavailablity to the body which involves shbg, e2, thyroid, adrenal function. A total testosteorne is basically useless. Are you experiencing depression, fatigue, lack of hair growth , impaired muscle growth or recovery, inability to maintain erections. If so then things need to be further investigated other wise this is an exceptable level for a male despite what people claim. > > Hello, > > I am new to this group. 27 years. Guest guest
Hi antanss_aradas and Welcome, Yes your levels are on the low side for your labs range 1600 my old lab had a range like this it's not a good test to go by. I would redo them at Quest labs or Labcorp. Go to www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A recipe for Success in this are labs you need and why. You need to figure out why your levels are this low before going on TRT. If you find a problem and fix it your levels will come back up. Going on TRT is for life things like high Estraidol can lower your Testosterone levels. So I don't have to type all of this over again today read this reply to a post I did this morning. /message/66126 Co-Moderator Phil > From: antanas_aradas <antanas_aradas@...> > Subject: bloodwork, low testosterone > > Date: Sunday, January 9, 2011, 12:22 PM > Hello, > > I am new to this group. 27 years. Guest guest
Hello, Thank you for answer. I have thyroid problem(hashimoto), adrenal fatigue. I take 25 HC and trying to increase T3. My symptoms of course mix of thyroid, adrenal and maybe T as well. Fatigue, headaches, intolerance to sport, depression. Anyway i don't experiencing lack of hair growth or inability to maintain erections. Is it possible to fix T by itself, when you will fix thyroid/adrenals? Guest guest
opps I did not see the reference range. So yes they are low and now you need to explore why they are low. In many cases I have seen low level in males and I ask them did you have a cold at that time. After stop and thinking they where like yes I was just getting over one. The suppression or stimulation of the immune system of a simple cold can reduce T levels by 30-40%. So as phil suggest I would look into the reason why which can range from lifestyle, nutritonal, emotional and psychological stress, biological, neurological, immunology, or environmental issues. These are the areas that I explore in dept. > > > From: antanas_aradas <antanas_aradas@...> > > Subject: bloodwork, low testosterone > > > > Date: Sunday, January 9, 2011, 12:22 PM > > Hello, > > > > I am new to this group. 27 years. Guest guest
Hertoghr says total must be in the top 25% of the range. Mine was at THE bottom range when I came to see him in March last year. I still dont Get what is what with testosterone though. Total Free Index My index was always at like 99% which I was told by several docs was great. Even with low tange total T. Now my total is very high BUT My index is lower at 94%. What's up with that? Guest guest
I have just learned how to think out side the box while isolating the cause in a timely matter validated with clincal data. I am still in contact with Dr Brownstein Center. He is just busy with his little girl and has not gotten back to me yet. One thing dr J told me is to always have back up. > > Yes we are a work in progress and I must say your great at this. > Co-Moderator > Phil >
Guest guest
Hard I just read that Dr. Brownstein said some where that being on Statin Drugs and having the damage like I have he was quoted as saying stopping Statin Drugs the still keep doing the damage long after you stop them. If this is true this might be why it takes so long to recover from this problem. I don't know if you can ask him about this but if you can it would help. Guest guest
One question is could the statin drugs start some kind dangerous cellular reaction altering some sort of cellular signaling we are unaware off? > > > > > > Yes we are a work in progress and I must say your > > great at this. > > > Co-Moderator > > > Phil > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
Guest guest
Here is what some one with my stain problem posted to me from specedoc.com. If you talk to him and have time ask him about this. ==================================================== My friend is a medical doc and a chiropractor and is the person who has been my teacher in craniosacral therapy. She called me from the course and said, you are not going to believe this, but Dr. Brownstein says that the half life of statins is ______. I believe she said something like years... I posted something on this forum at the time, excited that there might be a reason why some of us continue to have new symptoms like we were still on statins, when we, in fact, had stopped them months to years before. I Googled around and could not find anything else like that, so I ordered his book. I will read with a fine tooth comb, but on first, hasty, pass, I am not finding anything. (Darn!) I have put in a call to my colleague, and she will be calling back...I want to get to the bottom of what he said! Guest guest
I emailed angela his assistant in handling his cases: , When you get a chance an you ask Dr B when statin drugs are stopped does the damage continue at cellular levels. If so how long till the body is able to repair it self from the damage caused from these drugs. > > > > > > > > > > Yes we are a work in progress and I must say > > your > > > > great at this. > > > > > Co-Moderator > > > > > Phil > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks If it takes a long time this might explain why so many take so long to heal and others keep getting worse. Guest guest
Hello, I am thinking about TRT together until i resolve my RT3/adrenal problem. Dr Peatfield think that my T is low due to thyroid/adrenal problem and should come up later. TRT is for life, but if you stop TRT, then your natural T output will be the same like before TRT? As i understand, all glads(including testes) starts to make hormones(if they can) after suppression stops. I think about TRT, because hertoghe say - nearly everyone who take HC(i am on 25HC) need to take T or DHEA to compensate cortisol catabolic effect and my T is low. I don't want to dig deep why my T, because it probably due to thyroid/adrenal Few questions: 1. What should be total T blood serum ranges? I am want to tests again, but want to find right lab. 2. What is natural T? Can it be in pills? Thanks for advices Antanas Antanas > > Hi antanss_aradas and Welcome, > > Yes your levels are on the low side for your labs range 1600 my old lab had a range like this it's not a good test to go by. Guest guest
I am not sure what your thinking I hear Dr.'s say maybe if your get your low Cortiol and Thyroid levels up your Testosterone will come up. I have yet to see this happen and to get leveled on HC and Thyroid meds can take a good Year. Why suffer here is a link to levels by age. http://www.mens-hormonal-health.com/normal-testosterone-levels-in-men.html I you think you can go on TRT until your stable on HC and Thyroid meds them come off TRT to see if your Testosteone levels will come back up. I don't think so what going on Testosterone is a steroid and like men in sports that do steroids they need to cycle off them taking stuff to jump start there HPTA (hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis) again. Going on TRT is suppressing HPTA and only a few Dr.'s in the USA are anygood at jump starting it again. The thing is if your levels are below the normal range 250 or less fixing bad Adreals and Thyroid are not going to fix your low levels. So you need to run tests making sure you don't have a health problem lowering your T levels like this. It is said what came first the Chicken or the Egg. Low T or Low Cortiosl and Thyroid. This is why I tell men find out why your low and if it can't be fixed go on TRT after all it's for life.
