Guest guest
Low ferretin. Low OR high cortisol. Too much T4 medication. You didn't say whether you are on thyroid meds. With your TSH over 2, I'd think your doc would have put you on synthroid or another thyroid med. Mine was 2.98 and he put me on 75mcg of synthroid. It made a huge difference in the way I felt, but oddly did not bring down my TSH. RT3 came down (as well as testosterone going up) when I started a cortisol supplement. > > > > > > Hi all, > > > I have been on HRT for testosterone and DHEA for about 3 months now. 53 year > > >old male and I had my thyroid checked about 2 weeks ago as part of my ongoing > > >checkups to see how my body is adjusting. Guest guest
Some times the health food store will have fine celtic sea salt I buy it when they have it. I ordered some fine celtic sea salt from them and what they called fine was not fine. Half of it would be left in the bottom of my canteen after I drank the water. Guest guest
Yes Phil, funny you should mention that. I have upped my Myomin from 4 pills a day to 6 a day, taking 2 right before I go to sleep and have noticed an improvement with the amount of trips I have to make to the bathroom at night for the last two nights. I hope it isn't a fluke. Guest guest
MEchanism by what it works is not known and it may cause other metabolic issues occuring in the liver since it works on specific pathways. no has mentioned this several times basically saying it may work but what other enzymatic reaction expense. Myomin is also some how connected to Dr wright as he sells it at his clinic > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > I have been on HRT for testosterone and DHEA > > for about > > > > 3 months now. 53 year > > > > >old male and I had my thyroid checked about 2 > > weeks ago > > > > as part of my ongoing > > > > >checkups to see how my body is adjusting. Guest guest
myomin needs cycle 5 on 2 off or you will cause down regulation because it an herbal forumula. Guest guest
Just done talking with my doctor for my thyroid problem; reporting back as promised. He prescribed Naturethyroid @ one pill a day, late afternoon. It is a 30mg pill. Will let you know if this works for me or not. > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > I have been on HRT for testosterone and DHEA for about > > > 3 months now. 53 year > > > >old male and I had my thyroid checked about 2 weeks ago > > > as part of my ongoing > > > >checkups to see how my body is adjusting. Guest guest
Most likely will not. It will most likely result in driving rt3 up while adding stress to the adrenals. The adrenal need to be properly assessed before going to thyroid as well as the other factors I mentioned. > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > I have been on HRT for testosterone and DHEA for about > > > > 3 months now. 53 year > > > > >old male and I had my thyroid checked about 2 weeks ago > > > > as part of my ongoing > > > > >checkups to see how my body is adjusting. Guest guest
doing this your going to feel a little better but there is one big problem I have with Dr.'s. They start one on NTH meds say 30 mgs and tell them to come back in weeks like 12. One needs to go up on the dose when starting 30 mgs at about every 2 weeks. Here is a link to how I got started treating my Adrenals and Thyroid If you can't read it join up it worth it. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=24 Open the links and read about taking your Temps 3x's/day add them up div. by 3 this is your avg. You can print out a chart to chart this in the chart you will see when you start on NTH meds your temps avg. will go up then in about 2 week fall back this is when you add 30 mgs more. You need to keep doing this until your on 90 mgs then you hold this dose for 8 weeks do labs if your not feeling better and labs are low you go up 30 mgs more. And hold again for 8 weeks it takes 8 weeks to see the result of adding more when your on a higher dose. But you need good levels of Cortisol before starting on NTH meds. Guest guest
Phil, I haven't been feeling badly and I told my doctor this when I talked to him yesterday. But since starting HRT I have had some symptoms (not real bad ones) like being very cold after morning walks which never used to happen. Not going the bathroom until later in the day instead of the morning. And my hair is growing Very slowly since starting HRT. The feeling I get from him is he likes to do things very slowly at first and see how I react. I like this approach and am comfortable with it. Here's the good news. I go back in March for my second 24 hour urine test (pretty spendy, I think $375.00) which gives all kinds of lab results. He will see what's happening to me at that point and make any necessary adjustments to my medications. Based on your advice I will watch for the need to up my 32.5mg per day of Naturethroid medication after a couple of weeks. Thanks for your input Phil. > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > I have been on HRT for testosterone and > > DHEA for about > > > > > 3 months now. 53 year > > > > > >old male and I had my thyroid checked > > about 2 weeks ago > > > > > as part of my ongoing > > > > > >checkups to see how my body is > > adjusting. Guest guest
One more thing. I think my cortisol is fine since he has me taking 4 pills a day to keep it under control. It calms me down to a degree. Someday's I can really feel it, other days not so much. But it's a calming medication which intuitively tells me I must be making enough cortisol to take thyroid meds. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > I have been on HRT for testosterone and > > > DHEA for about > > > > > > 3 months now. 53 year > > > > > > >old male and I had my thyroid checked > > > about 2 weeks ago > > > > > > as part of my ongoing > > > > > > >checkups to see how my body is > > > adjusting. Guest guest
It is called Cortisol Manager. I found it on the Internet. http://www.integrativeinc.com/Products/Energy/Sleep/70453-Cortisol-Manager.aspx I take 4 pills a day before 3 PM - usually before noon but am up pretty early. My bottle says the ingredients are two different proprietary herbal blends @ 250 mg per each blend as well as Phosphatidylserine @ 50 mg. This is per 1 pill. I am not going to list the herbs because frankly it's a major pain to read the bottle even with a magnifying glass and the names of the herbs take forever to type because they are all so long and unfamiliar. If you are very interested in the ingredients I think you can send a message from the site I gave and they might send the ingredients to you. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > > I have been on HRT for > > testosterone and > > > > > DHEA for about > > > > > > > > 3 months now. 53 year > > > > > > > > >old male and I had my > > thyroid checked > > > > > about 2 weeks ago > > > > > > > > as part of my ongoing > > > > > > > > >checkups to see how my > > body is > > > > > adjusting. Guest guest
if it helps you keep taking it I can tell you with my problems with low cortisol this would do nothing for me. I tried every thing one can think of and the only thing that helped was Isocort and even better helped was Cortef and HC med. I do 30 mgs per day. 10mgs in the morning and 5mgs at each meal and bedtime.
