Guest guest
Don't self medicate. My advice is go see Dr . Allthingsmmale.com From your levels it sounds like you need TRT. Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Do i have hypogonadism from these results Hi all I'm 22 now, I've had over 4 full hormone blood tests done and several testosterone blood tests over the past few years, my levels have been: Testosterone: 12 - 14 nmnol/L (8.3 - 30) Freetest: 35 pmol/L (25 - 120) LH 2.0 U/L (2.0 - 10.0) I've included ranges cause i know everyone has different measurements, I do seem to have some testosterone but on the low end of the scale just before clinical so no dr's will really touch this, I have seen one anti-aging dr who i know gives trt to older blokes with higher natty levels than me. He even said that i should be between the range of 20 to 30 nmol/L when i asked him should i go on trt he said no because it's for life and very powerful and can cause prostate cancer and ect.. and i think more because i'm 22. I was thinking i had maybe 2nd hypogonadism cause my LH was so low in all my tests not making enough test, but after taking arimidex 0.5mg EOD (anti-aging dr prescribed) for 4 months and getting my LH to more than double 4.9 and seeing no change in testoserone levels makes it look like i have a mild case of both. I've also taken resvertrol which has raised a few of my mates test by 100% (they had bloods done) but it did nothing for me (also had bloods done. A friend has told me to source some HCG (black market and i have sources) and see if i get a response if i don't then i should be a genuine TRT candidate. I'm think of trying this then going back to my anti-aging dr and demand to be put on trt better to live a shorter happier life than a long miserable one. Guest guest
duffman you are very low with a low LH but taking arimidex got your LH up did you ever test your Estradiol levels do you eat a lot of SOY or drink SOY MILK this can do this to your body don't have time today to tell you how this can happen. Read this link I see this a lot in younger men and your levels at 12 are that of a old man age 85 to 100 yrs old in time this will take it's toll on your life. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174 TRT is for life you need to find out why your low and doing a Clomiphene Stimulation Test or a hCG Stimulation Test will tell you what's going on you can read about this in this link on page 5. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf Please try to find a Dr. that will do them tests I know it's hard where you live but it's best to be under the care of a Dr. not what someone tells in the gym or on the street. Guest guest
Hey I wish i could see the dr from all things male but i'm from Australia not the US. @Phil yea i got my estrogen taken and it didn't change much SHBG or what ever it is did go down a bit though and LH doubbled so the arim did have some effect just not with test. I've pretty much done the " Clomiphene Stimulation Test " just using arimidex instead i'm now going to do a " hCG Stimulation Test " . What protocol would you recommend? 500IU EOD? > > > From: duffman_oh_yaeh <duffman_oh_yaeh@...> > > Subject: Do i have hypogonadism from these results > > > > Date: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 8:56 PM > > Hi all > > > > I'm 22 now, I've had over 4 full hormone blood tests done > > and several testosterone blood tests over the past few > > years, my levels have been: > > > > Testosterone: 12 - 14 nmnol/L (8.3 - 30) > > Freetest: 35 pmol/L (25 - 120) > > LH 2.0 U/L (2.0 - 10.0) > > > > I've included ranges cause i know everyone has different > > measurements, I do seem to have some testosterone but on the > > low end of the scale just before clinical so no dr's will > > really touch this, I have seen one anti-aging dr who i know > > gives trt to older blokes with higher natty levels than me. > > He even said that i should be between the range of 20 to 30 > > nmol/L when i asked him should i go on trt he said no > > because it's for life and very powerful and can cause > > prostate cancer and ect.. and i think more because i'm 22. > > > > I was thinking i had maybe 2nd hypogonadism cause my LH was > > so low in all my tests not making enough test, but after > > taking arimidex 0.5mg EOD (anti-aging dr prescribed) for 4 > > months and getting my LH to more than double 4.9 and seeing > > no change in testoserone levels makes it look like i have a > > mild case of both. Guest guest
How long after your " Clomiphene Stimulation Test " did you have your Estradiol tested you need to be off this about 6 weeks to get a test on Estradiol. I would do 500IU's 3x's a week after the 15 shot do labs. Guest guest
Ok so i went back and showed my anti-aging dr my bloods and he said we might have to give you a little testosterone and i said that's exactly what i was thinking. His given me compounded transdermal cream (2% i think) and i'm to take half a syringe morning and night i'll put up the exact dosages when i get it from the chemist i couldn't read the script his got bad writting. Guest guest
I would run a clomid challenge to rule out primary or secondary. Also examine other hormones such as adrenals and thyroids. Many people system depending on what variable and age depending where some times able to get going on their own by examing deeper reasons to as WHY this is occuring both at a hormonal level as molecular level. SOme time its the simpliest things that are so over looked by traditional medicine because of system being " lazy " > > Ok so i went back and showed my anti-aging dr my bloods and he said we might have to give you a little testosterone and i said that's exactly what i was thinking. > > His given me compounded transdermal cream (2% i think) and i'm to take half a syringe morning and night i'll put up the exact dosages when i get it from the chemist i couldn't read the script his got bad writting. >
Guest guest
Why take it at night. Your body produces T when you sleep, couldn't this lower your natural T production even more? > > > > Ok so i went back and showed my anti-aging dr my bloods and he said we might have to give you a little testosterone and i said that's exactly what i was thinking. > > > > His given me compounded transdermal cream (2% i think) and i'm to take half a syringe morning and night i'll put up the exact dosages when i get it from the chemist i couldn't read the script his got bad writting. > > >
Guest guest
Sorry but this sounds like a women's dose when I was on a Compounded Cream it was 10% I put it on my forarms not tuching my hands and rubed my arms together in the morning only. If I did this at nigh I could not sleep. Guest guest
Yea he found a few things to begin with 6 months ago like thyroid (now on 15mcg T3 twice daily), candidia (dieted for 6 months, no sugar or yeast and took supps for it), and hemcromitosis which had damaged my liver so i took liver supps to get that back up and running and now have to get 500ml of blood drained a month. He though if i did all this i would be back to 100% even though he said my test levels were low, now that's the last thing on the list. > > >
Guest guest
I'm not too sure, and i don't know why he recommends 5 days on 2 days off i would have thought that taking it alone would shut me down. > > > > > >
Guest guest
Yea it's the lowest you can give for trt at least it's something though it's really hard to get any sort of trt here, I'm already thinking of ways of how to get at least 5% but not sure how i ask the dr to up my dose, do i say it's not working or just take a whole bunch to begin with say it doing wonders for me then pretend i dosed it wrong? i don't know, i don't like being dishonest. > > > From: duffman_oh_yaeh <duffman_oh_yaeh@...> > > Subject: Re: Do i have hypogonadism from these results > > > > Date: Tuesday, June 8, 2010, 2:22 AM > > Ok so i went back and showed my > > anti-aging dr my bloods and he said we might have to give > > you a little testosterone and i said that's exactly what i > > was thinking. > > > > His given me compounded transdermal cream (2% i think) and > > i'm to take half a syringe morning and night i'll put up the > > exact dosages when i get it from the chemist i couldn't read > > the script his got bad writting. > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > >
Guest guest
NO your stuck you need to work with him he will see your levels not coming up and your input on how your feeling will change the dose. If you were on Andorgel 5 grams / day this is = to a Compounded cream at 5%. And 5 grams of Androgel or Testim is a starting dose. Guest guest
Ok so i got it back from the chemist it says: " Testoserone 2% cream 60g 1 " apply 0.5 gram twice a day so if it's 60g a day then thats 300g a week or there is a big wasteage with creams so it only absorbs a % of it? Yea i don't wanna lie anyways i hate doing it. I'll do this for 10 days get my levels tested and see where they are at if they are 25nmol/L or more i'll be happy

I'll do this for 10 days get my levels tested and see where they are at if they are 25nmol/L or more i'll be happy > For comparison, Testim is in 5 gm tubes at a 1% concentration. Most guys start at one tube but may end up on two; two tubes are 10 gms. 10gms = 10,000 mg, 1% of 10,000 mg = .01 x 10,000 = 100mg Your cream by comparison appears, the best I can tell, to be: 2 x 0.5 gm = 1.0 gm, 2% of 1.0 gm = .02 x 1000mg = 20 mg This is 1/5 of what you may need! BTW, the nominal absorption for Testim is 10% of what is applied to the skin..... so, 10% of 100mg =10mg
Guest guest
thats what i also worked out but it says 60mg 1 i'm not sure if that means 60mg per gram or what can't figure where that 60mg fits into it but i am assuming that is the daily dose 2 x 30mg a day or 1 x 60mg. > > > For comparison, Testim is in 5 gm tubes at a 1% concentration. Guest guest
Now this was over 20 yrs ago my Cream said 10% to take 10 mgs even & 50 mgs DHEA/150mgs test gel. I used it once in the morning. I was on this over 7 yrs worked dam good and my BCBS payed for it. I got this from this from Collage Pharmacy all my Dr. had to do was call them send them my labs they told him how I need it by dose and how much a day. http://www.collegepharmacy.com/menshealth/andropause.asp When I patch came out my BCBS would not pay for this any more and the patch cost more.
