In order to get the over all picture you need to have alot more testing such as

shbg, e2 sensitive, ft3 ,ft4, total t4, reverse t3, tsh, dhea-s, prolactin, 4

point cortisol saliva test, cmp, cbc, vitamin D 25 oh, ferrtin, homocysteine.

One needs to have an overall medical profile of when this occured, current

lifestyles, work related stress, eating patterns, examine emotinal or

psychological factors, thyroid, adrenals, environmental exposures, Gi issues,

ect to see where the root of the problem lie. The main question one needs to

find the answer to is why you feel this away then work to balance out the

symptoms. Most professional athletes TT are between 350-550 so do not get

wrapped up in number as much. When other hormones are out of balance T can make

up the difference and a normal number may not be right for your body.

Hi gonnacraponyou and Welcome,

Yes your TT levels are low but you need a lot more labs to figure out why your

low.  And Endo's are not good Dr.'s for this problem they will just tell you

your in the range so your fine.

I need you to read my story the firs 5 yrs I was sick I was told I suffered from

Major Depression and it was low Testosterone.  But my TT levels when tested were

120.

http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/stories-of-others/phils-story/

Things go wrong that can lower your Testosterone levels like high Estraidol

levels you need to check this. If it's high it looks to your brain like your

Testosterone levels are high. Because Estradiol is made from Testosterone but

the brain can't tell the Difference so it will think high levels of Estraidol

are Testosterone and your brain will slow down sending the LH and FSH messages

to your Testis and they will slow down making Testosterone.

So what you need to do is go to Dr. 's site www.allthingsmale.com and read

TRT: A Recipe for Success in this are labs you need and why. Here is a small

list of things that can lower your T levels and if your fix them your levels

will come back up. Going on TRT is for life.

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=450553

This link is about older men with high levels of Estradiol but I see this happen

in younger men.

http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174

http://www.medibolics.com/ArimidexBoostsTestosterone.htm

In this link you will learn about this problem so when you see a Dr. a better

one you will be up on this and know if your seeing one that is good and can help

you. The big problem us men have is finding a good Dr.

http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html

====================================================

As you will see on the following site, as many as 50% of all men may

have low levers of testosterone.

According to the Great Smokies Diagnostic Lab, these are the causes of

hypogonadism:

chronic/systemic illness

surgery

chemotherapy

infections

premature aging

testicular trauma

stress

Kleinfelter's syndrome

autoimmune damage

tobacco and alcohol

sleep apnea

excessive heat

obesity

hypercortisolism

medications

hyperthyroidism

malnutrition

T does sound a little low, however it is best to try and bring it up rather than

have to go on TRT.

Natural production is always better.

Hi everyone.

I've had my total T levels tested twice: 460 @ around 1100AM, and 440 @ around

800AM on two different days.

My endocrinologist says that these are normal levels, but according to:

http://f1.grp.fs.com/v1/ULEpTc9JMQTsV8SQAg1AJOTXjeAYRY3w-GUO0SQqY4PMv0QYqEb\

wqhsGDTl_Q32IzLLbAoH56KtLSSvXMD2cg_QTABq6ON-GddmCjw/T_By_Age.pdf

these seem low for my age range.

I am 30, and my sex drive is pretty low right now. My erections aren't great.

However, I have been pretty depressed in the past few months. Depression has

never interfering with my sexual function previously.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

My Total T was at 3500 when I came to Hertoghe in March. The range is: 3000 -

10.000. I had something like 6000 while being optimal on Thyroid 3 years ago. I

think my Testosterone declined because stupid endo's removed my Thyroid meds

slowly over a few years to see what would happen with me. Nice experiment huh.

Anyway. Why didn't Hertoghe go for natural Testo production instead of putting

me straight on TRT? He didn't even tell about options. I think it is because he

believes in hormone replacement and wants all people to be on this.

I hate my shrinking balls and weak and low amount ejaculate on TRT.

I am 32. I always had AMAZING sexdrive btw. Til I started TRT in March 2010.

Then it went downhill with my sexdrive. I mostly consult with Hertoghe himself.

Again I love to watch his lectures incredible informatative thats for sure, but

I do not know how he is as a dr. So I can not answer that question. I have

sent alot of people over to barry peatfield in england. The response was very

positive and felt like he was getting down to the root of the problem. May be

TRT is not the route for you and I think you know that deep down..

I cannot add to having multiple sex partners due to being primary, however I

noticed trt helps with erections and the rare moments I am with another person,

I can maintain that erection with more volume than when I am alone.

I am around 300 in total range, I have no idea what " normal " should feel. Give

me a thyroid problem anyday to get my levels at normal with more sperm....

Trying to get some one going natural requires alot of back ground information,

lab testing, current or past meds, to have an idea on where to even begin. With

out any information proper assements begins with asking the proper questions

pertaining to emotional, biological, psychological, nutritoinal, lifestyle

choices. If the environment appropriate and certain factors are in place then

there is a greater chance of restart.

The endocrine system works in harmony. If one of the systems is unbalanced then

a chain reaction resulting in the person having symptoms which can over lap.

Having a skilled practiioner who understands how the integration of the immune,

endocrine, neurological systems and psychology work together is essential. Some

drs specialize in one area which helps some systems. It it not untill the other

systems are addressed that the person reaches a state of wellness.

Here is a link that shows normal levels by age.

http://www.mens-hormonal-health.com/normal-testosterone-levels-in-men.html

What we talk about here is finding out why your low and fixing to your body will

make more and bring your levels back up on there own.

There are many things that can lower your Testosterone levels Estraidol, to much

Iron, fatty liver, Stress, over doing it on diet and working out it the gym,

even eating or drinking to much Soy.

One guy I talked to had a low infection in a tooth he had a root carnal on the

Dr. did not get all the nerve out they pulled the tooth his T levels came back

up.

No I think it's because your levels at 6500 were just mid range then you feel to

the bottom of the range men don't fall this low due to an infection or even high

Estraidol levels. And at the time how much did you know about this where you

could have asked him questions. I just don't see men come up that high just

treating Thyroid I hear about it but I don't see it. If your Thyroid was bad

and your levels fell some like 1500 points then fixing your Thyroid might bring

your levels back up.
