Guest guest
We need to give the Growth Hormone I just started back on time to see what it's going to do to my Thyroid. The last time I was on GH my Thyroid started working big time. My RT3 is from Heart surgery and I am told it might take 2 yrs for it to come back down. It's not good to try to get it down on T3 only meds with my Thyroid working on GH so we need to give it time to see whats going to happen. The GH might burn out my Thyroid. The last time I went hyper it was hell. If my levels in 6 weeks are the same I think my Dr. is going to put me back on Armour or add in T3 only I have a lot of the old Armour frozen. Guest guest
Phil & Barb, I am just back from my Harmone Specialist. He gave me a prescription for Arimidex to bring my Estroidal down and also gave me a Nattokinese supplements. He said after I get my blood work he will see if I can take any anticoagulants (IV). Barb, how long do you think I have to take Natto ? How long your husband had that pain in the back and also does he have any heart problems ? How old is he ? Thanks Joe
Guest guest
Thanks have appointment on 8/6 will bring this up. was issue a while back but problem may still be underlying. From: Barb Sent: Monday, July 26, 2010 11:02 AM Subject: Re: Pain in the left shoulder blade left arm ......pointing pain in left back side I answered this Friday night and just got a notice it didn't go through. Many posts on many sites have not gone through. But I think it's important enough to address so here goes again. The heels on the bottom of your feet should be smooth. When you're hypothyroid, they are very cracked and dry, and you can sometimes peel layers off. When I was most hypo, I could peel chunks of skin off and it didn't even bleed, because the skin underneath was dead too. This is not normal and indicates you don't have enough thyroid in you. Get Free T3, Free T4, reverse T3 checked. Barb > > Could you elaborate on " heels not cracked " statement and what your referring to or implying, please. > > > From: Barb > Your FT3 looks pretty good, the final test is symptoms. Heels not cracked, have full eyebrows (not thin, especially towards the outside), hands/feet not cold? If you have any hypo symptoms I would get rT3 tested. Guest guest
Heart surgery CAUSES rT3? Wait, I did read that ANY surgery causes rT3. I guess the body's trying to slow you down to heal. My only point in posting is for others reading to know that cracked heels are not normal (especially if you haven't had surgery). I had that for years and had no idea that was a thyroid indicator. Now I can practically dose by state of my heels. DH's were a little rough so we raised him 1/8 grain so far, and they are already smoothing out. Labs confirmed he has room to raise. Anxiously awaiting his testosterone/estradiol labs. > > We need to give the Growth Hormone I just started back on time to see what it's going to do to my Thyroid. Guest guest
Joe how are you going to take the Armidex I don't remember your levels but if your less then 30 you might only need .25 mgs of 1/4 of a pill every 2 to 3 days if your over 50 pg/ml you might try .5 mgs every other day to get it down. Guest guest
Natto should not be taken with any other blood thinners like aspirin or coumadin. Might make it too thin. Coumadin can also be toxic long-term. I can't remember where I read it, but I believe some people take the natto for life, others just for a year, so everyone's different. He used to get the shoulder/upper left chest pain on any exertion, now does not. The cardiologist visit with all the tests was about one year ago. All his tests came back fine last year, but like both Phil and I said, tests don't show everything. He is 54 and has been undermedicated hypothyroid probably his whole life till I finally learned to ask for a Free T3 test, and not accept the TSH they always ran. Guest guest
Thanks Phil and Barb. I just started Natto from today. How many days it may take to see the results ? I read atleast 72hrs for the regular priscription blood thinners. Phil: My E2 was 106. And I was trying to bring it down with DIM but no use. I kind of neglected to get an Arimidex prescription and after 4 months of high E2 I guess I am learning it the hard way. Now I am stocking up Arimidex, HCG etc and most of them from India through ADC or friends who are visiting India. My doctor said take 1/2 tablet every other day. After that I will retest it on 4 - 6 weekly intervals to see where I stand and at what dose of Test Cyp etc. Today I visited my Harmone Doctor and he listened to the whole thing and just asked me to take Natto and later after the blood work he said he will see what's next. Do you think he is convinced that nothing serious as of now or what ? Thanks Joe > > > From: inc_100 <no_reply > > > Subject: Re: Pain in the left shoulder blade left arm ......pointing pain in left back side > > > > Date: Monday, July 26, 2010, 4:22 PM > > Phil & Barb, > > > > I am just back from my Harmone Specialist. Guest guest
Barb I had this problem with my heals for yrs long before treating my Thyroid and when I was on 4 grains of Armour it was about 75% better. My heals would get so bad the would crack and bleed. My eyebrows never grew back on the sides. All I was saying about RT3 is one needs to know why it's high and address that so it will come down or if you fix the problem then try T3 only to get it down so it will stay down. Guest guest
I don't know much about Natto but I do know SOY is not good for men. Your better off trying to get your Estradiol levels down taking Arimidex. SOY acts like Estradiol in men it has what I call a marker in it that looks to the body like it's Estradiol in men the brain can't tell the difference between Estradiol and Testosterone because it's made from Testosterone so when your Brain sees this high level of Estradiol that is the marker from SOY will think your Testosterone is very high and this can make your body bind up your Free T levels. Now I am not a Dr. just saying what some dam good hormone Dr.'s say about SOY like Dr. . I once had a guy post here from the Bamana's he just got married and changed his style of life to what he thight was more heathy. He was posting because he lost his sex drive and had ED tested his Testosterone and it was low. Like most men he did not want to go on TRT for life after taking for a time. I found out he was drinking a few Gals. of SOY MILK a week. I told him to stop this this might be why he is so low. About a month later he posted back his T levels came back up and he got his sex life back. The dam SOY MILK did this to him. Guest guest
Barb & Phil, My bloodwork came back fine except my Vitamin D is very low and also there is another Cardiac Enzyme - homocysteine which is high and my doctor wants me to bring it down by taking Vitamin B6, B12 and Folic Acid. In fact, it is considered an independent risk factor for heart disease. High homocysteine is associated with low levels of vitamin B6, B12, and folate and renal disease. Research has shown, however, that reducing your homocysteine levels with vitamins does not reduce your risk of heart disease. Homocystine – 10.5 Range < 11.4 Vitamin D – 23 Range 30 -100 Please let me know your inputs. Thank you, Joe > > > > Phil & Barb, > > > > I am just back from my Harmone Specialist. Guest guest
B vitamins do lower the homocysteine. This is what DH and I take http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-B-Right-100-Capsules/110?at=0 I would expect if you already have heart disease, the B vitamins can't reverse it, but in general, I do believe they are beneficial because they help your body's thyroid processes, and low thyroid causes heart disease. D vitamins are also commonly low in people that are hypothyroid, so adding the two may help your thyroid function. Low thyroid can also cause aches and pains. Vit D3 is sold over-the-counter. Did you ever get an iron panel and ferritin checked? Ever take a morning basal temperature or afternoon temperature? Guest guest
There are a lot of multi-vit's for homocysteine but I find if the take them seperitely they work much better. Not all of the supplements I take are for homocystine. http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2001/june2001_report_homocysteine.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: inc_100 <no_reply > > Subject: Re: Pain in the left shoulder blade left arm ......pointing pain in left back side > > Date: Tuesday, August 10, 2010, 5:50 PM > Barb, > > I havent checked my Ferritin levels so far. Guest guest
Phil, Thank you for the response. From my experience, I would like to input some ideas here but I am not disputing any thing. About 1.5 yrs ago my Endo put me on 200mg/ml of Testo cyp every 15 days and it increased my Free T so high beyond the range. So he put me on 100 mg /every 15days and I felt good except my E2 went so high. After I joined the group, I started doing 100mg (sometimes 140mg) every 10days and also doing 250iu of Hcg two times every third day before my Testo Cyp shot (100 - 140mg) and I was feeling good but about a month ago I started getting the " Pain in the left shoulder blade, left arm and chest " as some of you know. After doing some research what I think is that I am using a higher dose of Test than required for my body. May be because of my age (38)or weight 150lbs or Test absorbtion rate or even the scale where I stand on my Hypogonadism etc I think I am good with about 200 - 300 mg taken in 4 equal parts or even more number of less doses. So I think our standard 100mg per week dose etc varies for every individual. So now I have lowered my Test to 60 mg per week and only 1 dose of Hcg at 250iu dose before the Test shot to see how I feel and if my chest pain goes away eventually or my blood thickness may go down. Just want to share. Thanks Joe > > > > > > > > > > Phil & Barb, > > > > > > > > > > I am just back from my Harmone Specialist. > > He gave me a prescription for Arimidex to bring my Estroidal > > down and also gave me a Nattokinese supplements. Guest guest
This might work I know a lot of men on lower dose's of Test C shots that do great all you can do it try it. You might feel down for a time until your body adjusts to the lower dose. Guest guest
I have donated blood multiple times to two different places (American Red Cross and Memorial Blood Center) and told them that I am on Testosterone Cypionate, Arimidex, and HCG. I always tell them that I donate blood because I am at risk for polycythemia due to TRT. As long as my hemoglobin level is less than 19.0, my pulse is less than 100, and my diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number) is less than 100, they let me give blood. They keep taking my blood and keep calling me and asking me to donate more!
