Guest guest
I do my shots every 3 days I got this idea from one of the men that see Dr. Shippen he did the book " The Testosterone Syndrome " the book is dated but in the book he was down on shots. Now he dose them to his self every 3 days subQ he dose .4 mls but he splits the shots up into two each time he shoots he dose half on one side of his belly fat then the other half on the other side. There are links about doing this they say it lasts longer and does not convert into E2 so fast it take the T longer to get into the blood going through the fat. My Dr. will not let me do this yet I have tired it and don't like the way it burns for a time after the shot. I guess I am sensitive to the oil in the Test C. Try doing this is you feel OK it works great a lot of men do this. Here is a link where I read about this. http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/mens-health-forum/injecting-testosterone-subcutan\ eously-134237662.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: surfingmedicman22 <no_reply > > Subject: Re: Am I a good candidate for TRT?? Guest guest
I'm coming in on this message late, so you may not need any more suggestions, but if you are still searching;Â when I started T injections I searched YouTube and found a lot of good videos on how to do this. ________________________________ From: surfingmedicman22 <no_reply > Sent: Mon, September 27, 2010 5:00:53 PM Subject: Re: Am I a good candidate for TRT?? Here are my latest numbers. Â Talked to my Dr last Friday and we agreed on weekly injections. He gave me a 200mg Boost of Test Cyp and said I can self inject 100mg once a week in divided doses if I want. He also gave me 0.5 Arimidex EOD. How do I know other than a follow up blood test what a good dose of Arimidex should be. If it's too much will I have any symptoms if my E2 gets too low. Also, the injection they gave me was in the ass which is still sore. Any videos or links out there that can show me how to inject with a small needle somewhere other than in the muscle. Thanks > > > > > > > > > > > > I'm 36 yrs old. I had my numbers checked for > > > the first > > > > > time last summer and have been sitting on the > > > info for quite > > > > > some time. Guest guest
Sorry Marc I have no Idea what post you seen with out going back and spending a lot of time reading back to figure out what post you mean. I talk to so many people a day I can't keep up with my memory. Please when you post like this post on top of the old post your talking about. Your test labs you show I have no idea if you were on TRT when you did this test is you were your LH and FSH would be lower. Total T would be higher with Estradiol in the 50's it would be lower or bound up not working. One needs to keep Testosterone levels up into the upper 1/3 of there labs range to start then go by how you feel and to keep your Estradiol levels down to about 20 pg/ml with good Thyroid and Cortisol levels. Good CBC levels and Iron levels. Then in time your libido will come back up. Even when I had blockages to my heart my libido was up but after they fixed my blockages it when very high. So all I am saying is you need a good Dr. doing a good workup on you to rule any other problems. Co-Moderator Phil > From: marc200134470 <cfs38@...> > Subject: Re: Am I a good candidate for TRT?? Guest guest
I'm currently running 200 mg Test Cyp once a week and Arimidex 0.5mg EOD. I've beeen on this dose for two weeks now. The T shots are giving me some insomnia as well as a jittery feeling from time to time. Should I lower dose to 100mg a week or wait till I get next blood work done. Also, when is a good time to get new bloodwork after starting on shots. Thanks > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I'm 36 yrs old. Guest guest
Wow that is a lot of Test C to start on but now that your doing this get labs first see how high you are then lower them if you to high. Not sleeping at night might be this big shot is driving up your Estradiol levels check this also. And your blood CBC see if your blood is getting to thick. Even if your doing .5 mgs of Arimidex every other day you can still be to high. On this did you get some strong night time and morning wood if you did and still have them then I would say your Estradiol levels are good. But if you got this and lost it your Estradiol is going down to low stop the arimidex until your wood starts back up. That day go back on it but take less .25 mgs everyother day. I would do your labs after 6 weeks don't do the shot go do labs in the morning and drink a lot of water so your labs are good. Guest guest
My evening and morning erections are good but I've had this annoying headache since starting on shots. Current protocol; 100 mg test cyp once a week. 0.5mg Arimidex EOD, 50mg DHEA, Zinc, Vit D, CoQ10. What could be causing the headaches? Could my E2 be too low with current protocol? Will headaches evevntually go away? When should I get next round of bloodwork? Thanks! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I'm 36 yrs old. Guest guest
I am not sure never had a headache from low E2 levels if your having good wood your levels might be good. Do you drink enough water every day do this in the morning put a 1/4 to a 1/2 tsp of some good Sea Salt into a glass of water and down it. If this helps your dehydrated now if you drink a lot of water and crave salt test your Cortisol levels doing 4x's in a day Saliva test a lot of men end up with this problem from having the stress of low Testosterone also check your Thyroid levels. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/recommended-labwork/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/ Co-Moderator Phil > From: surfingmedicman22 <no_reply > > Subject: Re: Am I a good candidate for TRT?? Guest guest
It's hard to interpret some of these results without knowing the ranges associated with them--especially the free and bioavailable T numbers. That said, your total T does look low. However, free T or bioactive T are really the more important numbers, and we don't really know where you stand there without more context. I am not surprised that your total T has fluctuated. Mine was 326 when I had it tested in September and went up to 505 a couple of weeks ago. I think changes are normal, especially for younger guys. If sex is still good and erections are still hard, chances are you're producing enough T--even though the numbers look low. Your LH is low, which is good because it means your testicles are still working. Your SHBG is not high, so a lot of the T you're producing is probably free. You're also very young. If I were you, I would try losing the extra weight, eating a healthy diet, and maybe doing some resistance training. Do that for 6 months and see how your numbers change, and more importantly whether you feel better. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. > > I'm 36 yrs old. I had my numbers checked for the first time last summer and have been sitting on the info for quite some time. I had my numbers retested last week to see if there was any change before I start on TRT. Interestingly my Total T went up over the last year without any TRT by 90 points. I'm not sure if this is a significant amount or not. > Anyway here are my latest numbers. > > MRI of brain: Clean result > CBC: All within normal range > Thyroid Panel: Normal > Cortisol: 13.8 > FSH: 2.3 > LH: 3.5 > DHEA: 390 > Test Total: 296 > Test Free: 58.0 > Test Bio: 131.9 > Test SHBG: 17 > Test ALBUMIN: 5.0 > DIHYDROTEST: 23 > ESTRADIOL: 26 > > I don't have any major symptoms sexually. Also, is there any importance that my Total T went up from 207 to 296 in one year without any TRT? > > > Thank you for any advice! >
