Guest guest
I often experience the same thing after eating Bill - fatigue and, lately, sweating. I also itch sometimes - I had some ice cream on Sunday and my stomach bloated out and I itched all over afterwards. I've tested my blood sugar 60 mins after eating several times lately and it's been in the 120's and 130s and as high as 146. I also have a horrible gut with multiple food sensitivities. I've been eating gluten free for almost two years and I've been avoiding dairy and eggs for the past several months because I tested sensitive to them with one of the " wellness " docs that I've seen. What I've noticed is that once I eliminate or strictly limit a food I tend to react more strongly to it when I eat it. I've been trying to heal my gut for over a year but it is not easy. > > > > > > > From: marc200134470 <cfs38@... <cfs38%40msn.com> <cfs38%40msn.com > > >> > > > > > > Subject: Re: major fatigue after eating and relatively > > > minor work > > > > < %40>< % > > 40> > > > > > > Date: Tuesday, June 8, 2010, 1:07 PM > > > > Bill,.....your blood glucose level > > > > should be 140 or below within 2 hours after eating a meal. > > > > It's almost worthless to take your reading right after you > > > > ate, as too many things including what you took in come into > > > > play. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Tim,......I will let you know what happens. I don't drink much milk, but I DO use a lot of cheese, and even if it is low-fat, or fat-free it still is made from dairy products. I don't have the itching you speak of, but I have been told I have IBS, and I have the constant pain in the calves that feel like I have worked myself to death. Sometimes I have, and other times I have done nothing. I bloat up a lot,......stomach can go from flat to feeling like I am going to explode in a couple of hours. Maybe a bit of overkill with the description, but I do swell up easily and get gas from both ends at times. I have also heard what you said about milk and mammals a number of times before. I will surely give it a shot.
Guest guest
Marc, One rumatoligest (sp) in Ocala said I had IBS and fibromyalgia having the same symptoms that your describing except with out the calf burning. Funny how all that went away after my appendix burst. Are you sure the pain in the calves isn't sciatica? That I do have. Guest guest
Tim, Thanks for all of this. I am lactose intolerant, but I do eat some dairy - I take lactase pills. You may be on to something here with the dairy allergy, or at least a food allergy of some sort. there are times (like yesterday) that I get hot and sweaty after eating. But only sometimes... Thanks again - I'll post what I find (if anything). Guest guest
Thanks Phil. I am to find out my lab results next week - part of what is being checked for is AF. Guest guest
Phil, I would like to read about this, but I don't want to risk an infection (I guess I could put a condom on my PC). What is the topic of the link ? I can try googling it and stay away from that web site. Bill ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Wed, June 9, 2010 1:55:18 PM Subject: Re: major fatigue after eating and relatively minor work That is a very good read but it has a lot of spy ware in it telling you your PC is infected and you can't rid your self of it with out shuting down your PC so anyone reading know this is going to happen. Guest guest
That abdominal bloating is a common symptom of lactose intolerance. I have that and that was the symptom that made me go " what is this? " . That led me to diagnosing lactose intolerance. You can buy lactase tablets such as LactAid (I buy the generics of that). Bill Re: major fatigue after eating and relatively minor work Hmmm, I don't get the spy ware thing at all, sorry about that, wouldn't have posted the link if I had, the site works fine from my end. Just to add something, when I was researching low T etc, one of the symptoms I thought was relevant, was a pot belly, Every doc I mentioned it to said more or less the same thing " we all get that when we get older " thing was I had never had a pot belly in my life and it was like a football, hard, not soft fat, I now know this to be part of the Dairy allergy (fermentation in the intestines) as it has gone now and I am working towards a six pack for my 50th birthday in November Another symptom that is now a memory was, pissing for England ! cheer's. Guest guest
marc it,s worth a shot, nothing to lose, lots to gain if it pays off, my missus went off the dairy with me, she used to suffer from gut problems that would keep her awak at night, not anymore, she also lost over a stone in weight (which is nice) goodness all round is all I can say. ----- Original message ----- > Tim,......I will let you know what happens. > I don't drink much milk, but I DO use a lot of cheese, and even if it is > low-fat, or fat-free it still is made from dairy products. > > I don't have the itching you speak of, but I have been told I have IBS, > and I have the constant pain in the calves that feel like I have worked > myself to death. Guest guest
, Interesting. I get the " sweats " sometimes too (happened yesterday). It's gotta be a food allergy. I've considered getting a food allergy test done, but I have no health insurance so I put things off. Was the test accurate - did it provide you an accurate map of what you are allergic to, or was it too general (and/or did it give you some false positives)? Long question..... grammar checker is " off " . Guest guest
Marc, You are definitely lactose intolerant IMHO. This is not an allergy - you're not allergic to dairy. It means your body doesn't have enough (or any) of the enzyme to break down milk sugars. Lactose is everywhere! You'll find it in vitamins, salad dressings (even those that don't look like one of the ingredients is milk). You can buy lactase pills over-the-counter. LactAid is probably the most well known. I buy the store brand equivalent of LactAid. Take a pill or two (you can swallow or chew them) whenever you ingest anything with lactose and see what happens. I'll bet a bazillion bucks that it gets better. I'm using Phil's money for this bet, so if I'm wrong, hit him up for the payout. Though if I'm right, I get the winnings. Guest guest
Brett,.....with me I guess it's getting hard to tell. I have been a fairly healthy guy until the last year or so. Now it seems everything is out of whack. I am hoping it is my hormones. I have had symptoms of IBS for a number of years though, and actually had a colonoscopy at the age of 40, once again due to family history of polyps. I was 100% clean, plus they took a biopsy sample to test for Chron's etc. That was negative as well. I still have my appendix, and get pains in that area from time to time. Docs say it is nothing but gas trapped in the ilium. As far as my calves,......I have no clue bud. This only started with me at the end of last year. I assume it is from my low T, but I do have a bad low back, and get symptoms of sciatica from time to time, as well as what would be called meralgia paresthetica. Same thing but the latter is on the side of the leg instead of the back. Sad how quickly one can go from almost indestructible to feeling like crap, and struggling to keep up with work at my age. > > Marc, > One rumatoligest (sp) in Ocala said I had IBS and fibromyalgia having > the same symptoms that your describing except with out the calf burning. > Funny how all that went away after my appendix burst. > Are you sure the pain in the calves isn't sciatica? Guest guest
Bill,.....I will try that first. It's much easier than not eating anything that contains dairy. I have heard of the stuff for years, but have never tried it. Will be getting some tomorrow on the way home for sure! If that does nothing, I will try the elimination method afterwards. Thanks! > > Marc, > > You are definitely lactose intolerant IMHO. This is not an allergy - you're not allergic to dairy. Guest guest
Bill, ive tried the lactase stuff and lactofree mi!k (they add the lactase to th milk) it dont work for me, I beleive I have a casien allergy ( milk protein) but lactose still affects me alot, and as has been said the more you abstain the more sensetive you get, it only takes a tiny trace to set me back now, not straight forward is it! Guest guest
Hi Phil, Out of interest do you have B12 shots/ oral tabs/or sublinguals?, I am currently on Methylcobalamin shots but I also have a good stock of Hydroxocobalamin shots, I went undiagnosed for many years and one of my symptoms was very bad palpitations and shortness of breath. cheers On 20 June 2010 15:43, philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: > > > Thanks Tim I have this Anemia problem but we are not sure right after my > labs showed this I ended up with Heart Bypass surgery and lost a lot of > blood Dr.'s said it can take over 2 yrs for my blood to come back to normal > so I am still on Iron pills and take B-12 with Folic. > It is looking like I will be on Iron pills for life. > Co-Moderator > Phil > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Thank you Tim Hardasnails is good at > > this I hope > > > > he > > > > > posts to you. > > > > > > Co-Moderator > > > > > > Phil > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > > removed] > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I now take B-12 sublinguals and Thorne Research - Folacal because folic acid in my stomach dose not convert I was fund low below normal for folic acid on it. The Folacal got my levels into the mid range. I had shortness of breath until I got on Iron then it got much better. Later that yr. I ended up having heart bypass sugary and did not find my breathing all that much better. I had them look at my heart because I have Heart Burn and Reflux. They found 2 blockages both 99% blocked and he 3rd artery was under developeded from brith.
