Guest guest
Some of you have more guts than I do,......I can't imagine swallowing a pill or injecting something that came from India myself. Why can't you get this drug prescribed here,....has it been banned or something? I have read about HCG as well. Seems it is recognized to stimulate the Leydig cells like LH does, but the negative appears to be the use of it by 'body-builders' to maintain their testicals. The same thing applies to us that have not abused,......whats the big deal? Seems like most of us are paying the price for the steroid abuse by the above class in getting correct treatment. I am sure my own eyes are just beginning to be opened. I am also certain I will hit the stone wall myself shortly.
Guest guest
It is not a mater of guts Marc. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do to survive, like for example here a months worth of Advair for asthma costs me $114. What part of my $500.00 disability check should I spend on that? I tried to get by without it and was using the emergency inhaler 7 or 8 times a day way more than the maximum 5 times they say is the safe maximum. Still having problems breathing. Twice I have landed in the ER for breathing problems with out it. Now you can order the exact same Advair made by the same GSC from ADC for about $30 a month and you can get there generic for about 1/2 that. Now if you had asthma and couldn't breath with out it what would you do? Now if you think the FDA is looking out for you, your wrong. They are looking out for the huge profits of the drug companies and spend billions in political donations to keep the laws protecting their obscene profits. Now I don't hear news of Indian people falling over in droves for taking the medications made by reputable companies in that country. Your right we all are paying the price for sterioid abuse yet even still a lot of the knowlage of what we know works or doesn't work comes from that abuse. Still there are a lot of ignorent doctors that would say even what Dr is doing is some kind of abuse. They are wrong but time will tell if some of them ever get the message but for conventional medicine as a whole it probably won't be in my lifetime. Guest guest
Brett,.....I guess I left out thinking about the money issue totally. I was simply thinking it was all because docs would not prescribe these drugs. I agree, you have to do what you have to do.
Guest guest
Brett, have you had your thyroid levels checked? Asthma is highly correlated with low thyroid, and I didn't know this till my Armour was reduced to 1.5 grain because my TSH was below range. Turns out Armour does this to everyone's TSH. Anyway, when I was able to raise again, the asthma went away. Completely. Barb " Brett Savage " <brshop@...> wrote: Now if you had asthma and couldn't breath without it what would you do? Guest guest
Hi, it just so happens my daughter in law is a new pharmacy grad... so are a lot of her friends... one close friend is a first generation Indian... and a pharmacist.... HER FAMILY orders meds from India. order from a respectable Indian Pharmacy and you'll do fine... they're working the patent laws... India patents the PROCESS not the drug... change the process slightly and the US/European patent doesn't apply even though the end product is identical. > It is not a mater of guts Marc. Guest guest
Interesting Barb! I never had asthma until the last 10 years or so. May 10th my labs from quest were: TSH was 2.9 reference range .40 - 4.50mIU/L T4, Free 0.9 reference range 0.08 - 1.8 ng/dL Apparently that is all that was done. Is that good? Guest guest
You're missing the most important number, which is Free T3. On a scale of 230-420, I would bet money that you're in the 200s. Healthy folk are about 350+. As for TSH, less than 1.5 is good (so you're low), and FT4 about mid-range, or 1.2-1.4 is good (again you're low). If your asthma is that bad, you also need to get your cortisol checked out. Asthma is way more thyroid/cortisol related than testosterone, though that does raise your T3. But obviously not enough if you're still on inhalers. Barb > > Interesting Barb! Guest guest
Thanks Barb, I will see what I can do about getting T3 checked and I am waiting to see a Endo I have seen once before, he didn't know much about TRT, but now I am going to see him about my adrenal issues. I hope he isn't so clueless about that. Brett Re: Question about AllDayChemist - or other >> foreign >> pharmacy. >> >> >> > Brett, have you had your thyroid levels checked?
