Guest guest
Dave, thanks for the info. The 4 hr erection won't be a factor for me. I don't get any wood. I got some Desyrel coming from a canadian pharmacy. my wife has some ambien. I've put off using until I see how the T3 med works on my rt3 problem. I'm gonna try some tonight, although I've been shoveling snow all day. I'll probably pass out tonight. > > > > > > > > I was using trazadone for sleep(worked great!), but have switched to meletonin w/ good results. > > > > I am also tapering VERY slowly off cymbalta, and so far I feel great. Guest guest
Just so you know, I was prescribed a 50mg dose as a sleep aid, but I found that I got a " hangover " from it. 25 mg worked fine. The higher dosages were generally prescribed as an antidepressant. ________________________________ From: jim <virtuosa150@...> Sent: Wed, February 10, 2010 5:19:21 PM Subject: Re: Re Reduced or Eliminated Need for Anti-depressants Dave, thanks for the info. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. 25mg is how I plan on using it. If I ever get my hormones regulated, hopefully I will not need it any longer. It was suggested to me by someone on another board to supplement with iodine, to support the thyroid. The T3 dose I'm taking isn't doing jack. > > > > > > > > > > I was using trazadone for sleep(worked great!), but have switched to meletonin w/ good results. > > > > > I am also tapering VERY slowly off cymbalta, and so far I feel great. Guest guest
I can't see adding something to help my sleep a little as being a problem. I have to cut the T3 med back to 5mcg.It's wiring the shit out of me for some reason. At least this med is the only added variable that I can attribute to my increase in bp and pulse rate of late. I wake up with my heart racing like shit. > > > > > > > > > > > > I was using trazadone for sleep(worked great!), but have switched to meletonin w/ good results. > > > > > > I am also tapering VERY slowly off cymbalta, and so far I feel great. I didn't then and don't now have sleep apnea. However, even though falling asleep wasn't too much of an issue, I'd wake up many times during the night. Often, all I would do when I woke up was check the alarm clock to see if it was time to get up yet or not. Of course the more I did this, the more anxious I'd become. Fortunately, Trazodone seemed to do the trick, allowing me to sleep through the night. > > > > > > > > > > > > At that time, I was taking 300 mg just before retiring for the night. One problem I experienced was that I'd feel groggy the next morning until about mid-day. Eventually, I cut back on the amount of Trazodone I was taking. At the same time, I began taking Wellbrutrin XL to treat depression. This course of treatment for depression continued with some variances over the next fifteen years. > > > > > > > > > > > > Since beginning TRT last August, I've discontinued taking both Welbutrin and more recently Trazodone. So far, I've not felt at all depressed, which is great. Perhaps the TRT is helping relieve any depression I felt before. > > > > > > > > > > > > It has been about two weeks since I stopped taking Trazodone. My ending dosage was 75 mg per night. I should have tapered off, but I ran out and thought what the heck, I'll just quit now. I don't recommend doing this. Coming off Trazodone can make one feel really sick with flu like symptoms. My sleep patterns are not as good as they were while on Trazodone, but they are gradually getting better. I feel rested most of the time. > > > > > > > > > > > > Has anyone else had similar experiences with reduced or an eliminated need for anti-depressant medications since beginning TRT? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

I have to cut the T3 med back to 5mcg.It's wiring the shit out of me for some reason. At least this med is the only added variable that I can attribute to my increase in bp and pulse rate of late.
