Guest guest
I feel it's your high Estradiol levels doing this to you that is how I feel when I am to high and now I know if I go to low I can feel like this. Your E2 levels in my units are at 41 pg/ml. Take that Arimidex your Dr. had compounded for you every other day. Guest guest
So I should just try Arimidex? Hertoghe has NOT gotten back to me about Arimidex. He told me to test my E2 again, a third time, and I did. I feel I can't start new medications without his permission. Today is the worst day in a LONG time: Pressure and unreal feeling in my head, sleepy, tired, weak, eyelids are very heavy, EXTREMELY DIZZY FEELING ALL THE TIME, feel like I'm gonna die. When I increased HC from 35 to 40 mg 10 days ago, I think it lowered my Thyroid and Potassium. So now I feel VERY Hypo..... And 2 days ago I had a BLACK tongue. Why won't they go thru my body (at the ER/Hospital) when I showed them my black tongue? They just " we don't know what this is.. possibly an allergic reaction " and sent me home. I could be DYING now from someting MYSTERIOUS for all I know! :-( > From: Gibcast <gibcast@...> > Subject: My latest labs > > Date: Thursday, January 27, 2011, 7:32 PM > What did you think of those results > btw? > > Â Aker lab 17th of January 2011: > > Â S-DHEA 11.6 (6.0 - 18.0 nmol/l) > Â S-Dihydrotestosterone: Not yet complete > Â S-Free Testosterone Index: 11.6 (3.0 - 14.7) - OK. > Â Free Testosterone Index (FTI) is measured: Testosteron > (nmol/l) x 10/SHBG (nmol/l) = FTI. > Â S-FSH: 1.2 (1 - 12 IE/l) > Â S-Progesterone: 1.3 (<3.0 nmol/l) > Â S-SHBG: 20 (8 - 60 nmol/l) > Â S-Testosterone: 23.1 (8.0 - 35.0 nmol/l) > Â S-Estradiol: 0.15* (0.06 - 0.14 nmol/l) > > > I will also add todays results, Thyroid etc.: > > Baerum lab. 26th of January 2011: > > Â FT4 11.9 (9.0 - 21.0 pmol/l) > Â FT3 4.6 (3.5 - 7.0 pmol/l) > Â TSH 0.45 (0.2 - 4.5 mE/L) > Â Potassium 3.7 (3.6 - 4.6 mmol/l) > Â Calcium 2.3 (2.15 - 2.51 mmol/l) > Â Chloride 100 (100 - 110 mmol/l) > > > Comments? Guest guest
I can't tell you what to do I am not a Dr. But it's in your ball park. If I were you I would try the Arimidex see if it helps me feel better doing .25 mgs every other day is not much and can't hurt you. If you don't feel better in a few weeks stop taking it. Guest guest
Don't believe what you read at Thyroid forums I do fine at my levels if I go higher on FT3 I end up Hyper. I don't do my basal temperature anymore my Avg. temps taking them 3x's per day are 98.4. And I am a Mod at a Thyroid Forum. I was on Armour at one time doing 4 grains per day. Until they pulled it off the market. Today I do 150 mcg. of T4 with 5 mcgs of T3 2x's per day. If I take my T3 3x's /day go hyper. You can't and should not do your meds for Thyroid by labs only try adding how you feel. When I was on 4 grans of Armour my FT4 was the same but my FT3 was very high and I was hyper not knowing it the whole time I was on this dose. I can't believe that someone can go hyper if he/she check's basal pulse/temp. My basal at the moment 36.0, but 3x per day(drrind.com) ~36.8C. Guest guest
No not basal when I first started to treat my Adrenals and Thyroid I did they were 96.0 I feel basal is only good to see if you have a problem before going on meds. http://drbate.com/Ref/thyroid.html Doing my temps 3x's / day and taking the avg. from them I went from 98.4 to 99.8 when I was hyper and my BP was up with my heart rate. The best way to gage how your doing starting on HC meds is to follow this link and take your temps and chart them you can even print the chart off from this link. http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph You can read how I got started treating my Adreanls and Thyroid at this forum but I think you need to join to read it. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=24 =================================================== The ACTH Stim test will show if it's your Adrenals or your Pituitary not sending the message ACTH to your Adrenals to make Cortisol. Here is a link to Chris's Explanation of the ACTH test you need to read this I have seen posts where Dr.'s did it wrong. You need to be sure you understand about this test and how to read it. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/co ... .php?t=288. Most people find out they have low cortisol because they have a low Thyroid Problem one needs cortisol to carry the thyroid hormone from the blood to the cells. If there cortisol is low do to Adrenal Fatigue there is not enough cortisol to do this and as they up there meds they start to feel hyper because the hormone is going to high in the blood and not being carried to the cells. One big cause of Adrenal Fatigue is a low Thyroid the Adrenals work over time to bring up levels of thyroid and become fatigued. Now we are finding a lot of men with low Testosterone have Adrenal Fatigue do to the stress of low Testosterone be it from the fatigue of low Testosterone or the high Estradiol. But it's dam odd that as men hear about this and are not feeling 100% on Testosterone Replacement Therapy that after a blood test there cortisol levels are low. The first thing I did was to try and figure out what stage of Adrenal Fatigue I was at and it looked like stage 3. http://www.chronicfatigue.org/Selye%20large.html Then I went to this site and printed out a chart for tracking your body's temps. I first took my temp under my arm before getting out of bed for 10 min.'s if it is under 97.8 you have a thyroid problem. Took my temps 4 morning and then I did an avg. it was 95.8. So now I for sure I am hypo. http://www.drrind.com/tempgraph.asp#directions Using this to take my temps it is also sold at Wall-Greens and Wal-mart. http://www.wilsonsthyroidsyndrome.com/P ... ometer.htm Then after I was up for 3 hrs I took my temp every 3 hrs 3 times a day and did an avg. My avg. was low between 96.8 to 97.6 and each day was up or down more then 2ths this is Adrenal Fatigue. I then ordered a Saliva Test through this link. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/ From the Canary Club for about $140.00 this is the best way to test cortisol levels and DHEA. Then I bought the book " Adrenal Fatigue The 21st. Century by . This book was a big help in understanding this problem but doing what he said to treat it did nothing to my temp chart. It has this in it Pituitary Extract (Freeze-Dried) 120 mg Adrenal Cortex Extract 33 mg and cortisol but you have no idea how much. http://www.myvitanet.com/adsolfrac50c.html Also he said to do B Vit.s. http://www.myvitanet.com/endfadaenbco.html Vit. C http://www.myvitanet.com/supbiocbuf36.html Everyone with low Cortisol has low DHEA I take this 2 a day. http://www.myvitanet.com/dhea260capph.html I take 3 grams of a good brand of Fish OIL. I buy mine at Coscos (spelling) I get the one that is coated so you don't burp it up. And there is Maca this helps keep your Adrenal hormones leveled. I was off this for 30 days and just went back on it I feel better on this. I do 1/2 tsp 2 x's a day. This is the best price and product on he web. http://www.macaweb.com/view.cfm/hurl/pi ... aca-Powder I dropped the Adrenal cortex http://www.myvitanet.com/adsolfrac50c.html It did nothing. I got some Isocort and started on it it is made from sheep adrenal's and wow the first pill made me feel good you need to start this slow. I did 4 pills = 10mgs. of cortisol first thing in the morning with food and 2 pills = 5mgs. of cortisol at noon and dinner. This changed my chart my temps come up to 98.4 to 99 but still up and down if your avg. is up or down from day to day more then .2 tenths your cortisol is still to low. I followed this to get started. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ad ... w-to-treat My Dr. would not give me Hydrocortisone said it's not safe to use. So I got this book by Dr. Jefferies " Safe Uses of Cortisol " http://members.aol.com/jefferiesw/ http://www.ccthomas.com/details.cfm?P_ISBN=039807500X Showed this to my Dr. and he blew it off and pissed me off. I got up to 120mgs of Armour and could not do more my charting even showed my Adrenals were not right to go higher. So I switched to HC and stated with 10mgs. in the morning wow in less then a week my temps were a straight line across at 98.6 first time in 8 months of charting things were looking good and I was feeling better. So if you need to treat your Adrenals the best place for info is at this link. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/co ... um.php?f=5 Today I am on 3.5 grains of Armour taking it 3x's a day. I am on 25mgs of Cortef starting at 10mgs first thing in the morning at 5am I still wake up at this time now that I am retired. I then go back to bed and when I get up at 8am I feel good. My next dose is 5mgs at 9am, then 5mgs at 1pm and my last dose is at 6pm. I do 70mgs of Testosterone every 3 days and 350 IU's of HCG the 2 days each in between my Testosterone shots I also do this at 5am. I use Arimidex to keep my Estradiol levels down a lot of men over 40 years of age have higher levels then the women. When this gets to high you can kiss your libido good by. I have just started on Floinef because of feeling hot so bad that I would not go out side in the summer heat. I would void every 2 hrs around the clock 24/7 this was due to low Aldosterone levels my body is dumping my sodium. So there you have it after 24 yrs we finely got it right and now I feel good.Men's Thyroid Fourm Moderator and Hypopituitary Co-Moderator, not a medical professional. Guest guest
The Finnish doctors name is KARIN MUNSTERHJELM and lives in Tammisaari. But she is having less and less patients now, from " stepping down " , ya know, she's trying to work less. She's been a doctor since the 70s. She's the warmest most amazing doc I ever met in my life. I love her with all my heart. However, I only tried the rT3-treatment for 3 months then switched doc to Hertoghe, because my Finnish doc said I was the worst case she had ever seen. She believes I have rT3 issues, Hertoghe doesn't believe too much in rT3-theories and wants to treat pentients with other hormones BEFORE trying T3-only as a last resort. Having said that... Good luck to the Finnish patient! PS! Karin is not a student of Hertoghe, but she likes him a lot. Recommended! Guest guest
HERTOGHES SECRET is that he treats ALL hormones that are low, on blood samples, and tried to BALANCE THEM OUT - He says that a high FT3 is not needed if one has adequate Testosterone for example, and also Growth Hormone. I think he has a point. Guest guest
T3 requires cortisol to enter the cells and to go to work. When low cortisol is corrected the FT3 level often falls as more thyroid is used up and enters the cells due to there being more cortisol. -Nigel On 29 January 2011 16:50, Gibcast <gibcast@...> wrote: > > > I am on 2 grains ERFA Thyroid (120 mg), 35 mg HC (was taking 40 mg for 11 > days, dosed down to 37.5 mg yesterday and 35 mg today). Guest guest
YES, but then why do I feel more hypo if more T3 is entering the cells? I am now back on 35 mg HC since yesterday. > > > I am on 2 grains ERFA Thyroid (120 mg), 35 mg HC (was taking 40 mg for 11 > days, dosed down to 37.5 mg yesterday and 35 mg today). Guest guest
I think you need to take a break from all this about your health. I feel your stressing your self out about every thing that you feel changes from one day to the next. You can make your self very sick doing this. Try to keep your mind off this for a few days. Guest guest
People that have health issues tend to go on to become cyberchondriacs. I always tell people I am working with who have faith in me to get the hell of the internet and start enjoying life. The few people that take this advice are the ones that will get better quicker due to less stress come complications and contradictions on line. If you are always constantly trying to second guess your dr then it is not a good match. Simple solution find a new one. Do not waste his time as well as your own. > > > > > > > > > > > > What did you think of those results btw? > > > > > > > > > > > > Aker lab 17th of January 2011: > > > > > > > > > > > > S-DHEA 11.6 (6.0 - 18.0 nmol/l) > > > > > > S-Dihydrotestosterone: Not yet complete > > > > > > S-Free Testosterone Index: 11.6 (3.0 - 14.7) - > > OK. > > > > > > Free Testosterone Index (FTI) is measured: > > > > > Testosteron (nmol/l) x 10/SHBG (nmol/l) = FTI. > > > > > > S-FSH: 1.2 (1 - 12 IE/l) > > > > > > S-Progesterone: 1.3 (<3.0 nmol/l) > > > > > > S-SHBG: 20 (8 - 60 nmol/l) > > > > > > S-Testosterone: 23.1 (8.0 - 35.0 nmol/l) > > > > > > S-Estradiol: 0.15* (0.06 - 0.14 nmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I will also add todays results, Thyroid etc.: > > > > > > > > > > > > Baerum lab. 26th of January 2011: > > > > > > > > > > > > FT4 11.9 (9.0 - 21.0 pmol/l) > > > > > > FT3 4.6 (3.5 - 7.0 pmol/l) > > > > > > TSH 0.45 (0.2 - 4.5 mE/L) > > > > > > Potassium 3.7 (3.6 - 4.6 mmol/l) > > > > > > Calcium 2.3 (2.15 - 2.51 mmol/l) > > > > > > Chloride 100 (100 - 110 mmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Comments? Guest guest
Hi Hard good to see you back. Thinks are finely going good for me. We cut back on my dose of Test C and I am now only taking 12.6 mgs of Aromasin every 3 days and I don't think I need it that much. Turns out my E2 levels were to low at 8 but doing the Prog. I now get night time and morning wood in my sleep at night. I am off Preg. and Prog. creams my preg. levels on my last set of labs are over the top. Pregnenolone, LC/MS/MS 262 high range 13 – 208 ng/dL. Note: I was not on Preg. Cream 6 weeks was on Prog. Cream. don't know why Preg. went up so high Dr. thinks it might be the amount of Ubiquinol Capliques Featuring Kaneka's Qh (400mgs) 3x’s/day he has me on. So low E2 was making me have waves of Panic feelings Dr. said low E2 will do this it's like Hot Flash's. Guest guest
Since making alot of recommendations to cut back on HCG alot of guys have been noticing they feel better need less AI or even coming off of them completely. They are still getting the effects of the LH with out the rise in e2. I found a few guys that like my self may be able to take 500 mgs of testosterone a week in the past with no e2 issues but on 120 mgs a week with 250 ius 2 times a week have e2 up the butt. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > What did you think of those results > > btw? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Aker lab 17th of January 2011: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â S-DHEA 11.6 (6.0 - 18.0 nmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â S-Dihydrotestosterone: Not yet > > complete > > > > > > > > > > Â S-Free Testosterone Index: 11.6 (3.0 > > - 14.7) - > > > > OK. > > > > > > > > > > Â Free Testosterone Index (FTI) is > > measured: > > > > > > > > > Testosteron (nmol/l) x 10/SHBG (nmol/l) = > > FTI. > > > > > > > > > > Â S-FSH: 1.2 (1 - 12 IE/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â S-Progesterone: 1.3 (<3.0 > > nmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â S-SHBG: 20 (8 - 60 nmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â S-Testosterone: 23.1 (8.0 - 35.0 > > nmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â S-Estradiol: 0.15* (0.06 - 0.14 > > nmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I will also add todays results, Thyroid > > etc.: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Baerum lab. 26th of January 2011: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â FT4 11.9 (9.0 - 21.0 pmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â FT3 4.6 (3.5 - 7.0 pmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â TSH 0.45 (0.2 - 4.5 mE/L) > > > > > > > > > > Â Potassium 3.7 (3.6 - 4.6 mmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â Calcium 2.3 (2.15 - 2.51 mmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > Â Chloride 100 (100 - 110 mmol/l) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Comments? Guest guest
I just ordered hcg and the bac water, so I will fill myself up with hcg for at least one month. If I don't see my testicles bigger I may have to sue Phil and a few others.... Hey Phil, its so good to read you are doing better these couple of weeks. Keep it up, but careful with those Dallas strippers- Go Jets!
