Guest guest
Try a compounding pharmacy, not a chain store. They usually make a batch once a week.Test is cheap, even without insurance.Prob around $15 a months worth.HCG and arimidex are cheap also from ADC.You probably spend a lot more on soft drinks than these drugs will cost you out of pocket.I have insurance but would gladly pay the full amount for feeling like a man again. Guest guest
Do you mean the med Test C for shots or having a Dr.'s office give you them. I get my Test C from MedCo with a script from my Dr. If your not doing your own shots have your Dr. show you how to do them. I do my shots into my thigh using a small 29g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. needle. http://spotinjections.com/index3.htm Co-Moderator Phil > From: inc_100 <no_reply > > Subject: Where to buy Testosterone cypionate > > Date: Thursday, August 5, 2010, 11:52 PM > Hello All, > > Where are you getting Testosterone cypionate injections and > how much are they costing you ? > > I had to go to a local pharmacy and they charged me $90.00 > and told me that insurance is declining the coverage for > it. > > The insurance doesnt cover HCG, Arimedex and also now > Testosterone even when it is medically necessary for me. Guest guest
Joe, talk to your doctor about getting pre-approval from your insurance company. They should have to provide it if you are hypogonadial. They won't provide it for body building etc. My insurance covers my T Cypionate with no co-pay but it has to be pre-approved. Guest guest
Insurance doesn't have to pay for anything they don't want to. Last year, on Cigna, DH got his TC for a $12 copay in Feb and June. When I went to pick up the Oct refill, it was close to $100, cause there was no insurance coverage. What? We hadn't changed insurance? The company made a new ruling in September that they weren't going to cover any hormones, male or female, and I found out when I couldn't get pre-approval for my BHRT either. My solution? Two months later, during open season, I switched to another insurance plan that DID cover it. Changing the rules mid-year? I didn't even know they could do that! Guest guest
I feel when it comes to health care we are in for a long hard ride. What the Gov. dose is no help it tales to long to kick in and when they make something law the insurance co's find a loop hole and we end up worse off. Guest guest
Hi Joe, I think others have probably already responded to your question, but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth. On July 1, our prescription insurance plan at work changed. We're now with Caremark, and our " preferred " pharmacy is CVS. Now, I have to get preapproval for my testosterone cypionate. I take 200mg every 10 days for hypogonadism. The co-pay is $10 now (was $5 before we switched). The retail for a 10ml vial should be between $100 and $200 depending on the pharmacy if you do not have prescription drug insurance. Hope it helps. Guest guest
I went from MedCo to Caremark I hated Caremark and this crap about preapproval for some drugs is not the Phaymacy it's the Co. you work or worked for doing this. Now I am back with MedCo again and wish I had Caremark. Guest guest
Thank you Wayne for your input. I used to pay $5.00 copay at CVS before and now they say its on back order. So I finally got it with another local pharmacy for $90.00 So far it looks like my insurance company is not paying for anything .....testosterone, HCg, arimidex etc. That's not good.
