Estradiol 38 normal Estrogen high 189

My Estradiol is normal 38 and my estrogen is high 189; what does this

mean????

BACKGROUND:

I have been on Androgel for 12 weeks

Your Estradiol is not normal for a man you might be in the normal range but your

to high.  Most men do better at 20 pg/ml when my levels are this high and they

are today I have Panic Attacks I had one yesterday and needed to take .5 mgs of

Arimidex when it happened then this morning it started up again and I need to

take .5 mgs more.  I know it was to high the panic feelings stopped and I got

some dam hard wood about 2 hrs later.

Your wasting your time testing Estrogen this tests are not for men they are for

women.

I think I asked you if your DIM is Indolplex/DIM you keep saying your on 200 mgs

Indolopex/DIM comes in 120 mgs tablets.  What is the name of your DIM and what

is in it there is a lot of junk out there saying it's DIM but it dose not work.

Thank you for your help. I am now taking the DIM that you recommend..

Will the DIM lower my Estradiol??? What about zinc and of course the

copper??? I am also starting to take chromium picolinate to help with my

workouts

and for weight loss.

I do not understand how the amount of estrogen or estradiol E2 in the blood is

measured differently for males & females.

Parts per million or whatever measurement used shoud be parts per million in

males as well as females.

We do not test anyother blood test different for males & females.

Yes Indolplex/DIM will lower your Estradiol levels and yes Zinc helps keep it

lower a little do add 2 mgs of copper when taking Zinc. When you get some

strong night time and morning wood the kind that wake you up you will know your

Estradiol levels are good. keep taking the DIM but is wood stops your Estradiol

levels are going down to low so just stop taking it until the wood comes back.

That day go back on it but cut the tablet on half.

Do you feel hot and sweat easy or have sore and hard nipples you need to be able

to tell when your levels are to high so you know how much DIM to take.

Most of us lose are night time and morning wood when to high.

Men have much lower level then women most women's labs only go down to 20 and

the women's test is not as sensitive so you can't get a good reading using them.

When I first started to test it all they had were labs for women and I was very

high on the test over the top of the range. So you can tell if your to high on

them labs but as you take Arimidex and start bring down the level. A women's

test will come back saying <20 and we need to know how low we are. My SHBG is

on the low side 18 so I need to keep my Estradiol lower about 15 pg/ml most men

do well at 20 pg/ml some are fine at 30. When a womens lab tells a men he is

<20 he can be way down there doing Arimidex I was on the sensitive test as low

as 10 pg/ml.

There is a new test out by Quest it's an Ultra. Sensitive test with a range of

<29 this test has big problems a lot of men were feeling high and getting a

result of <4 I can't see how a man can be this low. I did both tests on the

same blood draw and the Ultra. test come back <4 and the sensitive test come

back on the high side 28. My Dr. called a rep he knows at Quest labs and was

told they are having problems with this test.

Dr. is so mad at them over this test he is not using Quest labs anymore.

I was having night sweats, but I stopped eating any heavy carbs after 6PM. and

not more night sweats.

I would have your sugar tested night sweats can be your suffering from

hypoglycemia. I have this problem due to low Cortisol levels and when I went on

Cortef HC this stopped. I had to stop eating carbs and would need to eat some

meat, cheese or nuts before bed to keep my sugar levels up through the night.

Imagine women have levels around 200. So a test that is = or - 20

points is still okay for them. When your level is 25 = or - 20 point

is sa big deal.

E2 is optimal at 20-30 pg/ml which is measured on the sensitive test with 4021x

from quest or senitive estrodial (3-70) range on lab corp

Total estrogen is a female test and if your dr is running it then he is not

trained properly in HRT.

Lower the shbg more likely the e2 needs to be lower due to increases bio

availablity.
