Guest guest
Dear Bill, >>>wakes up with breath that smells almost garlicky, despite not having had garlic the day before. Yesterday he also had a B.M. that had more of an odor than others-- still firm, just more odorous. ==>These are common occurrences with candida and are nothing to be concerned about. It indicates detoxing is going on, and that he still has digestives problems which will improve day by day. Consider yourself lucky his breath doesn't smell like BMs which some people experience with candida. Your son should be cured completely within 5 months of starting him on the complete program. He should be kept on the program for a month past all symptoms disappearing. If he continues to improve you could safely add one fruit a day in another month. Fruit needs to be consumed along with good fats to slow release of fructose, i.e. after a fatty meal. It is best to start with low fructose fruits like grapefruit, apples. The best to you and Liam. Guest guest
The weight loss inevitably slows down - if it didn't we would simple disappear. On any other " diet " in your life have you lost over 100 pounds in 10 months? For that matter, on virtually any other " diet " have you lost even consistently a pound a week? Probably not. Try and do what you know you are supposed to do and let the process work. Eat healthy - be healthy. in GA > > > I had my surgery 2/26/04 and since then have lost 105 lbs. Guest guest
Regina, Don't worry. I had my mgb 5 days before you and have only lost 78 lbs. I started on these two month plateaus in July and have only lost about 15 lbs since then (about 5.5 lbs every two months) You are doing great. I'm just hoping that I will join the century club by Feb 19th 05. But if things continue they way they are, it won't happen. I'm just enjoying the weight I have lost and not worrying about what I haven't lost. I am 183 and only 5'2 " . If I don't loose any more by my second year, I may have to think about the " R " word. I'm not worried though, it will start falling off here soon. I think I've been at this temporary set point long enough. in Phoenix Dr. Hargroder 02/19/04 261/183/120 5'2 " 42 y/o Re: Is this normal? thats normal. > > > I had my surgery 2/26/04 and since then have lost 105 lbs. Guest guest
Hi, It varies from person to person. I was a consistent but slow loser. I would lose 4-7 pounds a month. I am 2.5 years out and still lose a pound a month if I do not eat. If I exercise any at all I can drop 8-10 pounds a week still. jane 5-17-02 311/140 Dr. R Dover TN Is this normal? > > > > I had my surgery 2/26/04 and since then have lost 105 lbs. Guest guest
Regina, this is very normal and I always could jump start my weight loss again (sounds crazy) by eating more protein. Guest guest
Hi Regina, My name is Debbie and I am the nurse for CLOS and was reading your email message and just wanted to let you know that this is normal. You can loss weight up to two years of surgery. The first few months are usually when you have the fast weight lost and than it starts to slow down a bit.Just watch what you eat and try to eat mostly proteins and do some type of exercise.Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. And try not to worry the weight will still continue to come off, just not has fast has we would like for it too. Guest guest
Are you sure it is die off and not an allergic reaction to something you are eating? Keen Is this normal? I have been doing most of the anti-candida things for a long time, except that I do slip up on diet a bit. I have gotten enormously better, and was able to return to Law school this year. However, I'm finding that I still have the die off problem to worry about which is really impinging on my ability to study. And that it takes very little to set it off. Over time I have found that it takes smaller and smaller amounts of anti-fungal medication to set it off, with a wildly beating heart etc. I found I can slow it up with a good whack of junk food when it has gotten out of control. I can see strange stuff coming out in the faeces after I've had a particularly bad couple of days in painfull 'die-off'. WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING. AND WHEN IS THIS EVER GOING TO END? I get the impression that my own system may now be functioning better on its own to get rid of the infection. On some days, simply throwing down a few glasses of fresh squeezed vegestable juice is enough to set off the 'die off' thing. Helen Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger. Guest guest
That's a possibility - thanks. Not long ago, I worked out that I had developed a pretty horrible reaction to milk which lasted about three days. But I used colostrum which is supposed to heal membranes, and that allergic reaction went away. I started having a little bit of cola to drink which I realize is not good, but I got so much better that I thought I should be able to tolerate a little now. Maybe I cant. Why does sugar, coke, chocolate etc. create this reaction? Helen. Keen Venables <kvenables@...> wrote: Are you sure it is die off and not an allergic reaction to something you are eating? Guest guest
What happens, as far as I know, is that you eat sugar and the candida blossoms. Then, because your system is on top of things, the candida gets killed off very quickly. That causes the die off symptoms. It means that your system is coping quite well, but not 100% healed yet. I would assume that, once the candida is totally under control, some sugar won't cause a huge reaction as the candida doesn't get a chance to blossom. My husband and I don't really have any reactions to sugar any more. It's mostly wheat and dairy that kill me. Which means that my leaky gut is still not healed. Keen Is this normal? Guest guest
, When you say " strange things in feces " , what do you mean?? I have too noticed strange things such as white or yellow mucus covering the stools sometimes. I think this might be attributed to the die off, but Im not sure. Anyone know about mucus in stool related to candida. --- Keen Venables <kvenables@...> wrote: > Are you sure it is die off and not an allergic > reaction to something you > are eating? > > Keen > > Is this normal? > > I have been doing most of the anti-candida things > for a long time, > except that I do slip up on diet a bit. Yes it is normal to have ups and downs. Natural healing is not a steady uphill climb towards health. As your body gets stronger it will start working on many areas of your body. First it breaks down an area getting rid of toxins, etc. and then it re-builds. You could also be running into re-tracing symptoms explained in my article under Hering's Law of Cures. Here's some articles which will help you understand how natural healing works. > > The last several weeks I've felt great, but this week i have a huge > cold sore, a rash under my right arm, tenderness in my right armpit, > fatigue, anxiety, sporadic rapid heartbeat. I have had no cheats on the diet. ==>Cold sores and rash are good signs that your body is detoxifying, which it will do through the skin. Tenderness is also due to toxins which move around the body a lot. Also anxiety, fatigue and irregular heartbeats are some of the symptoms you'll get from die-off and detoxifying. You are doing everything right . Hang in there. Your good days will increase and your bad days will decrease as you progress on the program. Do everything you can to help your body detoxify - see this article: http://tinyurl.com/34ov3y I hope that helps you. Bee
