Well, I finally ditched my last Doctor because he refused to work with me and do

some of the blood tests suggested by Phil and others on this website. He did do

an Estrogen test although I requested an Estradiol test and I came out double

the norm. He told me it was nothing to worry about. Right!

I changed Doctor's and went to a Doctor, recommended by a friend, who treats

bodybuilders and other people with this condition. He did the tests I requested

and some of his own. (I have been having night sweats for a year now). I am

worried with the results.

My RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hemotocrit are above the reference intervals. My

hematocrit was 60g/dl, as compared to a reference interval of 36-50. My Doctor

sent me to Blood Bank to have blood drawn to try and reduce my Red Blood Count.

He said I could have a stroke at those levels as my blood could potentially

produce clots. Was this high drama? It scared the hell out of me.

I also had an Estradiol level of 85.9 pg/ml, which is far above the range of 7.6

to 42.6, and serum testosterone of 950, dihydrotestosterone of 156 ng/dl

(reference of 30-85), and testosterone F+W Bound of 314 ng dl (range 40 to 250).

My Doctor checked me also for Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy and my level was 10.1 ng/ml

compared to an interval range of 32 to 100.00.

What surprised my new Doctor is that I am taking only 4 squirts of Androgel

which is a low dose. My glucose was also above the norm, but not too much. A

year and a half earlier, my levels were normal, except I had low Testosterone.

My new Doctor told me to stop the Androgel to see if my other readings normalize

and gave me a prescription for a high dose of Vitamin D.

Has anyone out there had a similar experience? I hate to think what may have

happened if I continued to go to my previous Doctor.

I don't feel particularly bad except that I fell a little short of breath. This

has been my third day without the Androgel.
