Guest guest
I'm sure someone will answer your question because I dont know the answer but why do you think you crashed after feeling so good for so long? Curious because I started on the gel several weeks ago. > > I have been on Androgel since May, 2009. For the first 6 months it absorbed nicely and it gots my levels from 317 to 800. Guest guest
Because my body stopped absorbinhg the Androgel. This is sadly very common. Initially my t. levels skyrocketed on 8 swipes a day to 1,000. I felt fabulous!!! Then it slowly stopped absorbing. My own testicles stopped producing t. on their own and once the Androgel stopped working, I was left with a level of 114, which is pathetic. I could barely function on that. So hopefully the Androgel will work for you indefinitely. The first four months I was on it, I felt fantastic!
Guest guest
General, if you don't have any phobia about needles, there's no reason why you can't do your own shots. I just started shooting T 2 weeks ago. It's no big deal. I use a 28g 5/8 " syringe in the outer thigh. seems to be working well. Push for your own shots. > > I have been on Androgel since May, 2009. Guest guest
I started on compounded T. At first it was just ok. Then, for some reason I went down hill. I'm so glad to be shooting the T now. The nonabsorption issues are removed. > > > > I have been on Androgel since May, 2009. For the first 6 months it absorbed nicely and it gots my levels from 317 to 800. Guest guest
I hope so too but I made an appointment with a very respected doc near me who I hope will start me on shots. > > Because my body stopped absorbinhg the Androgel. Guest guest
My HMO will not allow me to self-inject. Can anyone answer whether 200 mg's every three weeks is a sound strategy or lousy? Should I be getting 100 mg's once a week?
Guest guest
Let me say it this way your going to feel better but you will be on a roller coaster ride up after the shot only to fall low by the next one. It is old and good Dr.'s don't do this anymore. If you print out page 11 of the AACE Guildelines it states to do shots every 7 to 10 days and this is old today we are finding most men do better doing shots 2x's a week. This keeps them leveled and holds down there blood from getting to thick and keeps Estradiol levels down. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf Also read this it's good but from the T-Nation it talks about what Dr. does. http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance_body\ building_supplements/the_testosterone_toolbox ==================================================== The Nuts and Bolts of TRT Here is what an effective TRT schedule could look like: • 100mg test cypionate or enanthate injected per week, injected weekly or divided into two or more injections per week. • 250iu hCG EOD [every other day], or twice per week; injected subcutaneously. • 1.0mg Anastrozole (Arimidex) per week, in divided doses. Why so many damn shots? Injecting Testosterone less frequently than once a week induces spikes in T levels followed by lows. This can make many feel as bad or worse at the end of the week than even their pre-TRT state. Injecting lower amounts more frequently seems to mitigate this side effect as it more closely resembles the body's natural Testosterone production. With lower doses and more frequent injections, one can inject in the quads (vastus lateralis) with 29 gauge 0.5ml/0.5 inch [50iu] insulin syringes. But generally speaking, rotating injection sites is always a good idea. These little pins are slow to load, but injection times are reasonable as the small plunger diameters create very high pressures. This same size syringe can be used for the hCG injections, which are subcutaneous injections. Those afraid that all these shots will have them hobbling around the office, take comfort- using small needles like these greatly reduces muscle damage and residual soreness. Guest guest
I've contacted the pharmacy for a 10ml vial of Tcyp. It's around $108 without insurance coverage. This is about 20 weeks supply. That's a good call Phil. I got my first T cyp 2 weeks ago. They gave me (2) 1ml vials and charged me $32. I got hosed on that. Rookie mistake. > > > From: generalusgrant <generalusgrant@...> > > Subject: Re: I finally am on testosterone shots: advice needed > > > > Date: Tuesday, March 2, 2010, 9:29 AM > > My HMO will not allow me to > > self-inject. > > > > Can anyone answer whether 200 mg's every three weeks is a > > sound strategy or lousy?
