Guest guest
Thank you Phil: I can take a more natural supplement that I obtained at " Whole Foods Market " My Primary DR. said that would be ok to take to take the natural supplement (Total Lipid Care).  She also stated that there was no risk to taking Antara, which is a fenofibrate. From what I read I would like to stop taking the Antara completely. Currently my trig. are at 70. and Cholesterol is HDL about 41 LDL about 100. I do exercise 4 times weekly and maintain a healthy diet.  Other than night sweats I think i'm doing ok. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Tue, March 1, 2011 12:06:05 PM Subject: Re: Fw: PSA and Fenofibrates vs statin meds  Greg if it were me and a Dr. told me I needed this knowing what I know about finasteride I would not take this crap. http://www.mypharmacydata.com/drugs-index-f/fenofibrate-finasteride-fioricet-fio\ rinal-fiorinal-with-codeine Co-Moderator Phil > From: greg vitiello <cupid1017@...> > Subject: Fw: PSA and Fenofibrates vs statin meds > > Date: Monday, February 28, 2011, 9:35 PM > > > > > ----- Forwarded Message ---- > From: greg vitiello <cupid1017@...> > > Sent: Mon, February 28, 2011 2:18:46 PM > Subject: PSA and Fenofibrates vs statin meds > > > Does anyone take Antara which is a fenofibrate. > Antara, according to my regular > DR, is not a statain drug but a fenofibrite. > > I was told by my uro that statin drugs can mask the actual > PSA reading. > > So my question is can fenofibrates also mask PSA numbers? > > > >    > >
Guest guest
Greg, may I suggest you do some research on niacin? It lowers triglycerides, LDL and raises HDL. -Nigel On 1 March 2011 15:07, greg vitiello <cupid1017@...> wrote: > > > Thank you Phil: > > I can take a more natural supplement that I obtained at " Whole Foods > Market " > > My Primary DR. said that would be ok to take to take the natural supplement > > (Total Lipid Care). > > She also stated that there was no risk to taking Antara, which is a > fenofibrate. Guest guest
My doctor took me off of gemfribobil (sp) and put me on a large dose of " Niacin " . It was much better medication for my LDL and dropped my triglycerides a little bit. I was told that the guidelines for people with heart problems is a LDL of 70 or less, mine is now 67. My triglycerides would be much better if I watch what I eat better. I'm working on it> H/D ________________________________ From: Nigel <nachonigel@...> Sent: Tue, March 1, 2011 5:30:15 PM Subject: Re: Fw: PSA and Fenofibrates vs statin meds Greg, may I suggest you do some research on niacin? Guest guest
You still need to figure out why your having night sweats. It can be from low Cortisol levels making your sugar levels fall to low at night. Try eating some cheese or nuts before bed it only take a little. Or if your on TRT it's your Estradiol levels going high at night this is when the go the highest. One other thing is Thyroid. If your on TRT what do you take how much and when. Guest guest
The heart Dr.'s drove my LDL down to 70 on Stain Drugs and my pain was very bad. I asked about them low levels they told me this is what you need them at. When they seen I have damage to my joints and muscles from Statin Drugs they said I did not ever had high Chol. so stop the Statin Drugs I did not need them in the first place. Yet for 2 dam yrs. I told them them drugs were cripping me and they told me it was my age or some other bull crap. If you were to ask me what I think about Dr.'s and there Statin Drugs I would say they are full of it up to the top of there heads. There is not one study out there that proves taking Statin Drugs keep you from heart problems. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/07/20/the-truth-about-st\ atin-drugs-revealed.aspx And the dam Drug Co.'s are try to get a bill passed to put this crap in the drinking water. Guest guest
Studies have also shown that low dose statins are just as effective as high-dose statins. Any potential benefit occurs at a low dose. Of course, side effects sky-rocket as the dose increases. The professionals on the National Cholesterol Education Program's Advisory Panel, the body that establishes recommended levels.have close industry ties. What a surprise.
