Guest guest
After I push in the T I let it set a few sec.'s then pull the needle out and put a pad on it and rub it a little. Some times I will get a drop of blood all that is is I went through a vein. I all ways pull back on the plunger to see if blood comes out never shoot if you see blood pulling back on the plunger. Guest guest
For T, I use a 27g x 1 1/4 " needle to pull out and inject with; sometimes I feel it, but most of the time I don't. For HCG, I use a 28g x 1/2 " either sub Q, or use the longer needle IM. Don Re: needle size/TRT Clint, I used to use 3ml 26g needle/syringes all these days and its takes a couple of minutes to pull the med in and somehow it used to be kind of hurts & painful. Today for the first time I used a 27 g needle that I took off from an insulin syringe and it did not hurt at all. But, I noticed that a small drop of the med came out after the shot. I wanted to ask Phil the same question if I am loosing the med. The length of needle is only 1/2inch. So, Phil: what do you say about loosing the med ? I think its only a small drop or two it doesnt matter but what do you think ? Note: Clint, you may be able to get needles from a local independant pharmacy with out a prescription. Giving a try is bettter. Thanks Joe > > > > I have been on TRT gels before, and was to begin test cypionate injections today. Those are the only needles provided. Nothing is pulling back into the syringe. I would have assumed what was provided to me would have worked, or been all that I needed. If this is something I am doing wrong, I will feel like an idiot (yes the pull back top is off the vial, and the needle is fully in the liquid, tried holding bottle upside down, pulling back a few times, just a tiny drop will go in). > > > > So am I right that 25g will work fine for the injection, but NOT to draw the medicine? I thought I read that the liquid is thick and had to be pulled via a bigger needle. If so, what size should I ask my doc for to draw the liquid? Will I need another RX for other needle size, or can I just go to the pharmacy to get it without prescription? If I need a RX, thats another several days to turn that around, *sigh* Pharmacy closed at this hour, so will have to start next week. > > > > Ready to feel better, in Atlanta, GA > > > > Thanks so much for your advice.. > > > > Clint > > >

Guest guest
Clint, When I told my doctor (a well respected doc in this forum) that I was using 18 ga. to draw the T out of the vial, he said " whoa! " . He said it will ruin the vial and to use a 22 ga. needle. The 22 ga. works fine. It only takes a few seconds to draw out .25 ml. Like you, I switch to a finer gauge and inject. Guest guest
Hey Phil....well I never really thought about it, and dont seem to feel any different inbetween shots. I had thought about splitting the doses and doing it once a week, do you thinkthat would be better for me?? I originally started taking the testosterone because I have aids and was in wasting syndrome. It has improved that alittle, but doesn't do much for my energy or sex life. Guest guest
Yes I do feel you would do better all you need to do is try it. In the AACE Guidelines on page 11 it states to so shots every 7 to 10 days and this is old. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf I never felt so much better until I started doing my T shots every 3 days. I first read about it 6 yrs go one of Dr. Shippens men posted that the Dr. started giving his self shots every 3 days. In his book " The Testosterone Syndrome " he was down on shots now he dose them to his self. I also do a 250 IU's HCG shot the day before my Testosterone shot. When your on TRT it shuts down your brain from sending the LH and FSH message to your testis and they stop making testosterone and get small. So doing HCG keeps the LH cells in your body and brain working. My libido went up on HCG. Guest guest
Phil, My doc (Dr. ) told me to use a longer needle.  Also, I hope you're feeling better. Your work here is much appreciated. Guest guest
How much longer using a smaller needle the longer it gets it can break in half. You can get upto one inch long. But I do fine using a 1/2 " lg. needle shooting into my thighs but I have no fat on my legs. Co-Moderator Phil > > > > > For T, I use a 27g x 1 1/4 " > > > > Is this not a BD product?
