Guest guest
Your going through the same thing I went through. You have two choices (three actually). You can have a unit of blood drawn to lower your hematocrit/hemoglobin. You can take a couple of baby aspirin a day. Or you can stop/lower the amount of T that your getting. I was originally on 200mg of T a week! I initially went the blood draw route but that was a pain in the ass. I did the baby aspirin thing, and that kept it just below the upper margin. Finally I had my T dosage lowered to 80mg a week in two 40mg shots. I give the shots myself so it isn't a big deal. This also has other benefits in that it doesn't cause huge spikes in your estradiol levels. I continue to take the baby aspirin as well and my counts have returned to well within the normal range. I had the same BP problems as well. I am on BP meds still for it just to keep it in check. I am losing weight so I expect at some point I will need to stop the BP meds. The one thing you DON'T want to do is ignore it. Stopping the T is not a really good idea. Depending on your age (I'm 49) you don't need as much. We'll see how it goes. How long before blood gets thinner now? Should I run to the ER and beg them to drain some Blood? I will also quit taking Vitamin K2 100 mcg daily tomorrow. It cant be good for me with such a thick blood. Sendt fra min iPhone Den 14. aug. 2010 kl. 17.13 skrev " noonanjg " <jgnoonan@...>: Your going through the same thing I went through. Guest guest
Steroids can stimulate the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. The reason Test can raise hematocrit. The life of a RBC is 60 days.Give blood and your HCT will be lower for 60 days.Stopping test shouldn't cause a sudden drop. Be sure you are very well hydrated before having labs done. That can make a big difference in hemodilution. Guest guest
I tested my hematocrit as hemoglobin at 9 in the evening ad they both came out high Even after drinking 2000 ml water that day total. I dunno what to do. My heart just beat irregularly for 10 secs.
