Guest guest
Dear group So I had blood work Friday; testosterone stuff done in house BUT ultrasensitive E2 was sent to Quest labs. Anyone know if Quest is doing this assay correctly and getting repeatable, accurate results?? thanking all in advance!! Biceps!!
Guest guest
I just had the ultrasensitive done and it was less then 2, I had the 4021 sensative test done after it was 44. & nbsp;I think the test is still bugged, but I read something where maybe the sensitive picks up estradiol like substances not just estradiol (which may act as estradiol). -MattOn Feb 26, 2011 10:08 PM, Big Biceps & lt;biceps72@... & gt; wrote: & nbsp; Dear group So I had blood work Friday; testosterone stuff done in house BUT ultrasensitive E2 was sent to Quest labs. Guest guest
4021 seems to be the one that everyone uses and trusts, the ultra-sensitive has issues and has for a couple of years I believe. My last lab tests we ordered both to compare them, the ultra-sensitive has not come back in yet but I'll post when I get the result which should probably be Monday. Guest guest
From what I know about the ultrasensitive E2 test Quest labs is the only one that has it. But it is not any good men get results saying there levels are <2 this is not possable. My Dr. called a guy he knows that works for Quest labs and was told they have big problems with this test. The range is <29 and it's junk and to add to this they know it's not working right yet they send out the results of <2 and charge for BCBS for this. I told them to stop charging my BCBS for this bad lab. It took me many calls to BCBS to get them to get there money back. When you Estradiol levels don't ask for ultrasensitive E2 testing ask for Sensitive Estradiol labs the one I do at Quest is #4021 it's range is 13 to 54 pg/ml but if your below 13 they give the number my last test was 8 I am to low. Guest guest
That test has been telling men at Dr. 's they are <2 for some dam many tests that Dr. quit using them. I ran both tests at the same time with my Dr. to prove the test is crap. The Ultra test said I was <2 the #4021 test side I was high 32 and by how I felt I was high. This test from Quest the Ultra test messed up so many men on TRT saying they are to low when they were good of high. They stopped using there AI and got dam sick. Guest guest
The E2 result of 2 is wrong IMO. Quest has been having problems with this test. Phil told me this about six months ago when I had a result of 2... the next time it was 27.
