Guest guest
Are you having any other side effects. Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile 23 y/o male with sex drive problems. Hi guys, I'm new around here and am really hoping you can help me. I just came back from the urologist who does not think my lack of sex drive is caused by testosterone problems. I first saw a doctor who then sent me there. I forgot to make photocopies of my blood work (could probably ask for it if needed) but I remember my Total Testosterone level was 13.7nmol/L (The urologist was saying that the normal level for my age was around 12) and free testosterone was in the mid 400s (nmol/L). I have tried doing a bit of research online and it seems my free testosterone level is OK but the total t. seems to be in the range of a 85 years old man!! Am I crazy? Thanks! Guest guest
It would help to have the lab ranges and some more details... call the doctor's office and get copies. In the mean time, do you know which lab company did the testing? If indeed you have total T of an 85YO then you have an issue, because bioavailable T is only a portion of the total. Most men should be in the upper range for total T and BAT while taking into consideration other sex hormones and hormonal systems. You need a good diagnostician. > > Hi guys, I'm new around here and am really hoping you can help me. > > I just came back from the urologist who does not think my lack of sex drive is caused by testosterone problems. Guest guest
Hi alexandre.heturivard and Welcome, Your right your TT levels are that if an old 85 to 100 yr. old man. And this is why I say Endo's and Uro's are not good Dr.'s for low Testosterone. But I need to tell you not all men lose there libido or sex life from low Testosterone you need to test your Estradiol this is the bad guy here you can be very low with your T levels where they are at I don't think you would be to high it is just as bad because your Free T is up. But Free T is only 2% of your Total T and your low so 2% of a low Total T is nothing. You need to find a better Dr. are you in the UK if so your stuck with there heath care systom. http://www.mens-hormonal-health.com/normal-testosterone-levels-in-men.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: alexandre.heturivard <no_reply > > Subject: 23 y/o male with sex drive problems. > > Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 5:36 PM > Hi guys, I'm new around here and am > really hoping you can help me. > > I just came back from the urologist who does not think my > lack of sex drive is caused by testosterone problems. Guest guest
Hi guys, It's been a couple of days!! As for the symptoms, I read the Wikipedia page and thought to myself : " Geez, is the page reading my mind?!?! " . Libido is the first problem. Plus, I am always tired and have been unable to sleep for a couple of months. Erections aren't super strong and enjoyment of sex/masturbation is pretty low. The rest from the page that match : -Difficulty concentrating -Memory loss (Used to retain a lot really easy) -I'm fairly depressed and not motivated to do any kind of work. (Plus the fact that the problem depresses me...) -Seams like the testes' firmness has decreased as the same time as libido -Penis size while not erect (I think) has decreased I actually live in Montreal, Canada. Any of you knows a good resource?? Thanks! > > > > > > > From: alexandre.heturivard <no_reply > > > > > Subject: 23 y/o male with sex > > drive problems. > > > > > > > > Date: Friday, January 29, 2010, 5:36 PM > > > > Hi guys, I'm new around here and am > > > > really hoping you can help me. > > > > > > > > I just came back from the urologist who does not > > think my > > > > lack of sex drive is caused by testosterone > > problems.
