Guest guest
What I have written below comes from what I have read on the forum with some personal experience added. It is meant to provide possible answers to some of the simple and more frequent questions I see coming from men who have started or are considering T injections. These are not the only answers and always any treatment or change in treatment should be discussed with and approved by your doctor. This forum has helped me understand what a good TRT program consists of. Finding a good doctor is still my biggest frustration. If I could afford it I would go see Dr. or one of the other knowledgeable Doctor's I've found out about on this forum. Does anyone know of a good TRT Dr. in South Central Virginia? Basic Supplies Needed for TRT and HCG Injections: 1.Alcohol Wipes: Always use before sticking on vial tops and injection sites. 2.Test Cyp or other form of T prescribed by your Dr. 3.HCG: 2000iu vials from your supplier or ADC, (A 10 or more package deal is more economical). Approximately one 2000iu vial needed per month. 4.Syringes and needles for mixing HCG: I use a 3cc syringe with a 27gauge 5/8 needle, (needle size is not important, but syringe should be 2+ml). Approximately one syringe with needle needed per month. 5.Syringes and needles for injection: I use the same for T and HCG, 28 Gauge, 1cc, 1/2 " insulin type. Many doctors and the instructions that come with your Test Cyp will say, " to be given deep in the gluteal muscle " . My Dr prescribed 23 Gauge, 3cc, 1 " Syringes. Let's cut the BS. Probably 99% of self-injectors are going to inject into the thigh. For my body a 1/2 " needle will put the T just as deep or deeper into the thigh muscle as a 1 " will in my glutes. Also a food for thought especially if you have a Dr. who is stingy with the T prescriptions. You will loose almost 1/10ml of medicine with a Luer lock syringe and almost none with an insulin type. It doesn't sound like much but it's a substantial percentage, especially if you do T shots twice a week. You just have to be patient pulling the T into the syringe. Also don't make the same mistake I did, NEVER refrigerate your T. It should be stored at room temperature away from light. Usually 3 to 4 syringes needed per week. I want even begin to get into aromatase inhibiters. Controlling Estradiol seems to be the most important factor for optimum TRT therapy for many of us. There is a wealth of information on this forum about estradiol control. Probably the biggest asset one can personally have is a Dr who understands the importance of Estradiol control and is willing to properly monitor estradiol levels (Sounds like I'm dreaming, doesn't it). Keep it simple with HCG: The 2000 iu vials of HCG from ADC easily hold 2 ml of bac water. Put 2ml of bac. water in a 3ml syringe and inject it into the vial. Allways use an alcohol wipe on the vial tops before inserting needles. Stick the needle in aprox 1/4 " and repeatedly inject a little bac water in and then pull air out until all 2ml is in the vial and the only thing in the syringe is air from the vial. Do not use immediately, give it time for the HCG to fully dissolve. Use only Bacteriostatic Water. Do not use sterile water. Sterile water is for one use only This method is simple, economical, and sanitary. Doses are easy to figure: .25ml=250iu, .3ml=300iu, .5ml=500iu, and so on. One of many resources describing T injections in the thigh is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQor40vf7lE I have purchased from these 2 suppliers with great results. Health Warehouse is also a good source for alcohol pads etc.: EasyTouch Insulin Syringe 28 Gauge, 1cc, 1/2 " , 100 Count - $13.50 with Free Shipping http://www.healthwarehouse.com/easytouch-insulin-syringe-28-gauge-1cc-1-2-100-co\ unt.html HCG-SP 2000 i.u. https://www.alldaychemist.com/1918-hcg-sp-2000-iu.html I have not purchased from the following suppliers but these are examples of the many suppliers of bac water available. Of course 25 vials would not be practical for one person to buy, but a great deal for several or keep what you need and sell the rest on E-Bay. 25 vials of 30ml bacteriostatic water - $29.00 + approx. $9.00 shipping http://www.mountainside-medical.com/products/Sterile-Water-For-Injection-Bacteri\ ostatic-Water-30-ml.html Limited time Offer- Bacteriostatic Water - $3.55/vial + $5.95 shipping (same shipping charge regardless of quantity) http://www.evotrition.com/other-accessories/626-bacteriostatic-water-30ml.html
