I can't believe your doctor is withholding your T3T4 results. I think that's

illegal. You need to know what your blood tests show regarding your

condition. Do you still have low or undetectable TSH? Is your heart/pulse

racing? If so, maybe you should first reduce the PTU rather than going off

it altogether.

Thyroid Storm and/or heart damage is no small thing. Good luck. Glad to hear

you're feeling better.

Hello,

Yes there are places in Raleigh that you can get your own blood tested

without any doctors!

Raven

PS you should be able to see your tests from the doctor since you paid

for them. I would call the police! then the attorney general and the BBB

I had heard that there are blood labs that will take you as a walk in,

pull blood and do any analysis you request(without a doctors order and

paying from my own pocket). Anyone heard of this? My doc just doesn't

seem to want to tell me my T3/T4 levels. When I told him about the

supplements I am taking, his eyes sort of glazed over and he made no

comment whatsoever. The thing is, I think I have improved after talking

these supplements for only 6 weeks and I am a very difficult case with

a 200 gram goiter. I phased out the PTU recently to see how I would

react and some symptoms reappeared but they were much less severe than

before. He told me that under no circumstances should I stop the PTU

and my only recourse is to undergo RAI. Oh well, what did I expect?

**HAPPY**HOLIDAYS**

**AND WARM HUGS**

Bert. :)

Well, I had bloodwork done today. They took 6 vials. One was an

amonia one which had to be put in ice and sent out. Never had that

done before. My doctor is checking everything because of the episode

that I had last Friday when I passed out. Hopefully everything will

come out okay and it was just from a virus that I might of had. This

will be a busy week for me. I'm so far behind on my Christmas

shopping that I've taken a couple of vacation days just so I can shop

til I drop. Hopefully I'll make it on tomorrow night in the chat

room. Looking forward to chatting with everyone.

Just a note to let you all know I just got all my blood work back and all the #s are better than the last time. The nurse scared me when she said one of my enzeyme levels was a little elevated. I told her that I wanted the Dr. to call me. He called and said yes it was alittle high and said it was nothing to worry about. Well between thoughts of using the needle and taking pills again I had enough sense to ask the important question. Which one was elevated? It was one of my muscle enzymes. So I'm back to being my happy self and will say a prayer for the nurse who dosen't have a clue about what she is doing.

How funny you asked about veins. I have horrible problems with this and

blood work, not to mention that I have scarring like a drug addict from

all the tests over my life time and extended medical work.

I'm actually leaving soon this morning, to get my blood drawn. Hah! I

hardly do this type of thing anymore, this is actually only the third

time in over ten years now............but really wanted to see where

some things stood, especially as I am treating lyme and also having

some malabsorption issues because of the dysautonomia and digestion

problems.

Maybe today the vein thing will be better than usual. Totally cracked

me up to wake up and see this post, since I'm off to be poked within

the hour : )

Jnanda

I'm back, and this blood lady was great! She immediately used the baby

needle, and I didn't even feel a poke. PLUS she had a fragrance free

policy and sign up, which I was impressed with.

Thanks for the nice thoughts . Have a great day too.

+++Hi Caine,

Getting 2 vials of blood taken won't hurt you at all. Since your doctor focused

right away on your skin problems, and not your bloated abdomen, I wouldn't go

along with him at all!

He won't agree at all that your skin problems are caused by toxins coming out,

and anything he recommends won't help you.

You definitely do not want to get a CT scan for skin issues anyway, and he

shouldn't need to scan your abdomen to determine the reasons for it being large

and uncomfortable.

Get him to tell you what is causing your abdomen problems instead; if not, see

another doctor!

Bee
