Guest guest
Scam? I don't think so. The orignal work on this was the book " Pounds and Inches " by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons. A google search will lead you to a free copy on the internet. He died in 1970. Surely you aren't suggesting that a dead man is scamming people today. Dr Simeons HCG diet has been in use since the early 1950's and has been proven time and time again. Yes, it has very strict requirements and they are carefully delineated in his book. It's not easy, and if you have any variances from the prescribed diet, you have to correct them immediately, as instructed by Dr. Simeons. No, you can't take HCG and do nothing else and expect results. HCG, taken properly will allow you to live on 500 calories per day and you will lose weight. Read the book, follow the program, and you will lose weight. Randy Hoops Springfield, MO > > > > Hi Phil, > > > > I am going to start on the HCG diet this next week. I know that the HCG helps men with their conversion to testosterone, but does HCG have the same effect in women? Mr Dr. seemed to think that this did not apply to females but honestly said he was not sure. Do you know?? > > > > Thanks, > > > > >

Guest guest
Plently of folks on this forum can tell you how to buy and mix your own HCG from alldaychemist, inhousepharmacy or other overseas pharmacies. No doctor or company to needs to take your money. " Pounds and Inches " tells you everything else. > > Will the doctor be providing a prescription for the hcg? Guest guest
http://www.physiciansplan.net/blog/?p=13 Then there is this Pub Med study http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1365103/pdf/brjclinpharm00004-0042.p\ df The effect of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in the treatment of obesity by means of the Simeons therapy: a criteria-based meta-analysis. We conclude that there is no scientific evidence that HCG is effective in the treatment of obesity; it does not bring about weight-loss of fat-redistribution, nor does it reduce hunger or induce a feeling of well-being. Therefore, the use of HCG should be regarded as an inappropriate therapy for weight reduction, particularly because HCG is obtained from the urine of pregnant women who donate their urine idealistically in the belief that it will be used to treat an entirely different condition, namely infertility. Pharmacists and physicians should be alert on the use of HCG for Simeons therapy. The results of this meta-analysis supports a firm standpoint against this improper indication. Restraints on physicians practising this therapy can be based on our findings. http://scienceblogs.com/obesitypanacea/2010/03/human_chorionic_gonadotropin_h.ph\ p Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) for Fat Loss: " Fallacy and Hazard " For example, a 1976 paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association performed a rigorously controlled, double-blind crossover study examining the effects of HCG on weight loss in obese individuals undergoing very low calorie diets. In a double-blind study, neither the patient, nor the physician, knows whether the patient is receiving HCG or a placebo. What were their results? Both groups lost a significant amount of weight (not surprising given subjects were only consuming 500 kcal/day), however there was no difference in weight loss between the HCG and placebo treatments. An editorial by Ballin and Philp White in the Journal of the American Medical Assocation titled " Fallacy and Hazard " claims that " no rational basis exists for [HCG] use in weight reduction, except as placebo " . Further " Weight loss under the Simeons regimen can be attributed solely to the semistarvation diet that is required " , a diet which is so restricted as to raise safety concerns. Finally, they claim that way that Simeons weight clinics are run " pose serious questions for physicians who participate in them " . http://archinte.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/137/2/151 Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) Treatment of Obesity These results indicate that HCG has no effects on chemical and hormonal parameters measured and offers no advantage over calorie restriction in promoting weight loss. > > > > > > Hi Phil, > > > > > > I am going to start on the HCG diet this next week. Guest guest
Low protein diet will result in more toxins because what detoxifies you is what the diet is lacking amino acids. > > > > > > The hcg diet is CRAP and a scam - you lose weight because the diet is ultra low in calories - 500 or so per day - don't waste your money > > > > > > > > > --- In > > [The entire original message is not included] > >
