Guest guest
Here is a copy of it. ============================================= Yes mls and cc are the same so to do a 250 IU's shot fill the pen up to the .25 mark. That is 1/4 of a cc. Co-Moderator Phil > > > From: gjvr2001 <no_reply > > > Subject: Re: TRT > > > > Date: Monday, February 21, 2011, 5:40 PM > > sorry about that. Guest guest
Propranolol inhibits T4 to T3 conversion. All beta blockers can do this to some extent, but propranolol is especially effective. This can be a problem for obvious reasons. Hypertension can have many causes. One is hypothyroid, which beta blockers will WORSEN. Also low electrolytes (especially potassium) can drive up blood pressure. I'm assuming your dose is based on your blood pressure at home when resting, right? White coat syndrome is very real and some are prescribed blood pressure meds when there's no need. It also doesn't make sense that previously normal blood pressures are now being called hypertenstive or prehypertensive. Also, bending the arm can drive up blood pressure a bit. More on that and on potassium here: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/2009/04/06/measure-your-blood-pressure/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/2009/05/19/potassium-supplementation/ -Nigel On 23 February 2011 02:08, gjvr2001 <no_reply > wrote: > > > I take propanalol for high blood pressure >
Guest guest
Yhank you for the info on propanalol. I just had cholesterol and triglycerides checked on 2/17 and received the following results: Cholesterol, Total 203 (100-199) Triglycerides 218 (0-149) VLDL Cholesterol 44 (5-40) LDL Cholesterol 114 (0-99) My PCP's office recommended doubling my Lovastatin and Gemfibrozil. I checked on the side effects on the Lovastatin: ED, impotence, gynecomastia, thyroid dysfunction, memory loss and peripheral neuropathy as well as a few others. Geemfibrozil: tightness in chest, decreased sexual ability, decreased libido, impotence, decreased male fertility, depression, decreased libido, depression, fever, chills joint & muscle pain, unusual tiredness and weakness I am going to have to discuss these with both my Urologist and PCP. The Cozaar I take for Hypertension decreases Libido, causes impotence, causes urinary tract infections, memory impairment, peripheral neuropathy plus many other things. I am continuing with 5 gm Testim hoping to refill the tank and replace what is gone. Will see Urologist on Tuesday. > > > > > > > I take propanalol for high blood pressure > > > > >
Guest guest
Hypothyroid increases cholesterol levels. This has been known for some decades. So the propanolol could even increase cholesterol if it's impacting thyroid metabolism. Again, sometimes the hypertension thing is isn't that big of a deal. Some are mistakenly diagnosed with hypertension when they simply have white coat syndrome. In addition, like cholesterol levels, they keep trying to lower what's considered too high and this further increases the amount of overtreatment only to provide more profits for the drug companies. You may mention niacin to the doctors. They can't ignore it as this B vitamin does also come in a prescription form and there are studies on niacin too. Niacin helps raise HDL and lower LDL and triglycerides. Any time you megadose a vitamin you can upset other things, but compared to statins in general it's a lot safer! Of course there's the flushing that niacin induces, but that tends to decrease if you slowly increase the dose and stick with it for some time. By the way, cholesterol is how your body makes testosterone. No cholesterol, no testosterone. I question the lowering of total cholesterol levels as a whole and I know that's not a very popular viewpoint. -Nigel On 25 February 2011 00:00, gjvr2001 <no_reply > wrote: > > > Yhank you for the info on propanalol. > > I just had cholesterol and triglycerides checked on 2/17 and received the > following results: > > Cholesterol, Total 203 (100-199) > Triglycerides 218 (0-149) > VLDL Cholesterol 44 (5-40) > LDL Cholesterol 114 (0-99) > > My PCP's office recommended doubling my Lovastatin and Gemfibrozil. > > I checked on the side effects on the Lovastatin: ED, impotence, > gynecomastia, thyroid dysfunction, memory loss and peripheral neuropathy as > well as a few others. > > Geemfibrozil: tightness in chest, decreased sexual ability, decreased > libido, impotence, decreased male fertility, depression, decreased libido, > depression, fever, chills joint & muscle pain, unusual tiredness and > weakness > > I am going to have to discuss these with both my Urologist and PCP. > The Cozaar I take for Hypertension decreases Libido, causes impotence, > causes urinary tract infections, memory impairment, peripheral neuropathy > plus many other things. > > I am continuing with 5 gm Testim hoping to refill the tank and replace what > is gone.
