Guest guest
Welcome to the site and we see alot of guys your age that are just burned out nutrients depleted, improper lifestlye, toxic, and adrenal, thyroid and sex hormones may be altered for some underlying cause. Feel free to contact me and may be i could help to guide you in right direction. I had one guy that was pounding milk like crazy ever since he was young boy and had e2 levels in the 60's. After cleaning up his eating habits, lifestlye, and other nutrient imbalances retested in 8 weeks his e2 came down and T levels went up from 400 to 600 range feeling normal. Only .5% of dr's would even look at these factors which can mean difference between being on TRT and not. Look for the cause as well as treat/support the symptom till body rebalances it self which i can and will do in time. > > Hopefully you all can help me? > > I am a 21 year old male with no known major illnesses. Guest guest
I'm prety sure my lifestyle is relatively good. I quit smoking two months ago but only smoked about 5 cigarettes a day for a few years. I drink alot, which is probably not helping, but alcohol is something I don't want to cut out of my life anyways. My diet is pretty decent. Lots of protein (whey, almonds, walnuts, penut butter, cottage cheese, egg); Solid Carbs (Oats, Pasta, Bread); fair amounts of fats (Fish oils, olive oil, pizza, shwarma). I take a mulivitamin from time to time (Universal's Animal Pak now). Cycle Creatine when I'm making good gains. I also take lots of Vit D3 during the winters and Vit C when sick. B Complexes make me feel " off " so I avoid them. I use recreational drugs from time to time: MDMA, Cocaine, and Opiates all in small doses less than once a month though. I have also smoked weed and taken psychocilibin mushrooms in the past. Very small aspect of my life. I have perscription d-amphetamine which I take 4x a year (before midterms and finals of each semester) at moderate does for about two weeks while I cram. This is actually one of the main reasons I want to correct my testosterone. I've heard ADHD is linked to low test and would love to be able to cut amphetamines out completely and still be able to read. I lift heavy weights 3-5 times a week and do cardio about 3-4 times a month (Really intense sessions though). I always do something active everyday, at least pushups before going dancing. Of course I've discontinued this since being hospitalized a month ago. Waiting for the hole in my chest to close before finally making it back to the gym. I really don't know what underlying factors could lead to low test, low TSH, and high E2. I got an additional draw of bloodwork done today and will be sent to an endochronologist along with a refferal shortly. I requested: LH TSH T4 Testosterone (didnt specify what type) E2 Prolactin All of which the doctor scoffed at except for the Test. " You men don't need these tests " . Hopefully the Endo I see doesnt have a similar disposition. I figure even if I'm decently healthy, its a quality of life issue. Furthermore its a preventative measure. I don't want to go from ~300 test now to less as I get older and be at higher risk for cancer. How should I state my case to the Endo? I'm thinking about just printing out my first post and faxing it to him along with the preliminary blood work. After doing quite a bit of research I'm leaning heavily towards a two month low dose Clomid treatment. Should I tell the Endo strait out that this is what I want? If he writes me off (which my GP did previous to any bloodwork, wouldnt even let me get my testosterone level tested) should I ask him nicely to simply follow my self administration of Clomid or would that somehow be illegal or something? The way I see the use of Clomid is minimal short-term sides and almost no serious risk factors that could possibly lead to a permanent increase in LH and therefore Testosterone. If I could get my Testoserone levels permenatnly up (even slightly) then hopefully some of my syptoms would go away. I could have a more normal sex life; not need amphetamine to study; and finally be able to stay energized through an entire day. Any input hardasnails? Thanks! > > > > Hopefully you all can help me? > > > > I am a 21 year old male with no known major illnesses. Never sustained major physical or mental trauma of any sort. Guest guest
I hasten to add Total T's of 400 and 600 are the same, given the pulsatility of hormonal production. Unless measured by 24 hour urine, one must always keep this in mind. I have no doubt these guys do better because of all the other stuff they are now doing right. Be well! Guest guest
I'm sorry if I offend and I'm really not trying to call you out, but how can your lifestyle be " relatively good " if you " drink a lot " and use " recreational drugs? " Hey, if you want to drink a lot and use drugs, go ahead. I think it's your choice to make. But, don't kid yourself into thinking that those are good lifestyle choices. I think you need to at least consider the fact that drinking and drug use could contribute to your health problems. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of healthynesswouldbenice Sent: Friday, February 12, 2010 11:43 AM Subject: Re: Tired of subpar health I'm prety sure my lifestyle is relatively good. Guest guest
Hi Seeing how you are not taking a b-complex, you should get a b12 level done. Now with the thyroid test you need a free t3 and a free t4. Also have a ferritin level done. TSH T4 Testosterone (didnt specify what type) E2 Prolactin All of which the doctor scoffed at except for the Test. " You men don't need these tests " . Guest guest
> > > *Moderate alcohol consumption (30+ drinks a week, sometims > > > significantly more) I wouldn't call 4-5 drinks a day, EVERY day " moderate " . (4*7=28 and poster admits to drinking " significantly more " ) how about dropping to NO MORE than 2 a day for a couple of weeks (to avoid withdrawl) then no more than 4-5 a week (i.e. glass of wine with dinner sometimes)
Guest guest
Good point I don't drink any kind of booze I feel with the problems we have it's nuts to add to it. After all the food we have to buy and eat is killing us the packaging they put the food and water in is killing us and the hormones in the meat we eat and the crops they spry is doing us in and they is no place to hide. Guest guest
talking from the point of view of someone that has done MDMA, using it just once a month will cause at least some of your symptoms. I remember the way it would kill the sex drive, and basicaly cause temporary ED for a week afterwords. It also causes a depression. What you are describing, as far as symptoms sounds more like a complex addiction cycle, that may have low testosterone as the result of your drug and alcohol use. TRT may be required, but if you are only using it to treat the side effects of the things you are using, then eventually when you have to quit everything, you will also have to deal with coming off TRT. Its not easy quitting drinking everyday, there are drugs that a normal dr. can give you to help with the withdrawels now. And yes, it will suck giving up the social life of partying and doing drugs, but most people have to give them up or they ruin their lives. Being on TRT does not mean we don't still have at least some ED, I am finding that it is taking a lot of fine tuning, and I have had to give up all alcohol and caffeine. At 21, you should have a libido that never stops, and almost anyone that isn't doing as many drugs as you are does.
