He is in the first stages of Adrenal Fatigue there are two ways to do this one

is with a supplement. That is in this link.

http://livingnetwork.co.za/hormones/adrenal-fatigue/

====================================================

In early stages of adrenal fatigue cortisol levels tend to rise and if they are

high at midnight they can energise you and keep you awake. Phosphorylated serine

can be used to lower cortisol at these times due to its ACTH dampening effect.

One needs to look at the stress in there life and get it down or they will end

up on Cortef HC to treat there Adrenals when they slow way down from over

working.

DAve,

We specialize in adrenal issue and inorder for your freind to get help it is a

very complex with alot of questions that need to be asked. High cortisol may

not be a bad thing depending on the situations so you need not to jump the gun

with out having it properly handles. If he is haviing a cold or being under

stress then this just might be a temporary response which is normal. If the

stress has past and its still elevated then you intervention will be needed. As

you can see its not just High cortisol take supplement X. Some times this

mentality can make matters worse then what they are. Leave it to the experts to

sort out who have been doing this for several years already.

Yes. He went through a horrible divorce and seems to have Post traumatic stress

disorder - in addition to lifelong problems with depression. The guy is just a

mess and I wish I could help him but I just don't have the answers.
