Guest guest
Yes if your gels spikes up your labs your Free's will be higher the are calculated. http://www.issam.ch/freetesto.htm Co-Moderator Phil > From: areb_1 <areb_1@...> > Subject: free t readings reliable? > > Date: Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 4:42 PM > Hi. Guest guest
Sorry, I don't get it, Phil. Are you saying that the labs use the total t reading (in part) to arrive at the free t level? I thought it was a totally different reading.  My Dr.'s office told me yesterday that they were pretty confident my recent labs were reliable because both the Serum T and the free T. were comparatively high. But you're saying they pretty much would have to be?   > From: areb_1 <areb_1@...> > Subject: free t readings reliable? > > Date: Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 4:42 PM > Hi. Guest guest
I had a link for T-Nation that explained all about how Testosterone works in your body. Total T is all the Testosterone in your blood. Free T is 1 to 2% of your total and Bio. T is I think what is what is avlble. So how could these tests be different if your Total is low and your Free is high your still to low. So look at it this way say your total is 800 and your free is 1% of that you have a good high level. Now if your Total is 200 1% of that is lower much lower. http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=75721 Co-Moderator Phil > > > From: areb_1 <areb_1@...> > > Subject: free t readings reliable? > > > > Date: Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 4:42 PM > > Hi. Guest guest
OK, but what I'm asking is this. I had a very high lab result for total T. (something like 1150). I'm a somewhat skeptical of this result because it's a huge jump up from the last time I was tested, but my dr.'s office is saying it's probably accurate because the free T result was also very high. Is that a proper conclusion to draw? Â > > > From: areb_1 <areb_1@...> > > Subject: free t readings reliable? > > > > Date: Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 4:42 PM > > Hi. Guest guest
What do you do for TRT if your on gels and put the gel on then do a morning blood test your levels are going to be high like this for both. If your on shots and don't do your labs the morning of your next shot but before it yes they both can come back high. I have even seen lab error for both my Dr. never changes my meds on one lab he will have me back to redo them.
