Guest guest
Dear Group & Phil, My one year contract with my TRT doctor will expire soon. I have a lab order for: Cholesterol, Total, HDL, LH, and Triglycerides. Before my contract expires (I get discounted blood work from him since my insurance doesn't cover it) Can anyone else recommend any other lab works I should do? Maybe that sensitive estradiol? Anything else? I'm still having ED and libido problems. I do believe my solution is to go to Dr. (I am saving up). But in the mean, any advice on some other labs I should get done, while I still can get them cheap? Thanks! Marc

Guest guest
LC/MS stands for Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, a more sensitive test for testosterone used for children, women, and hypogondal men. It's less prone to interference from other testosterone-like compounds in the blood. It can measure levels down to 3 ng/dL. ________________________________ From: Marc M <MisterX225@...> Sent: Mon, March 8, 2010 2:57:36 PM Subject: Re: Next set of labs What is LC/MS? > > > From: Marc M <MisterX225@ ...> > > Subject: Next set of labs > > > > Date: Monday, March 8, 2010, 1:29 PM > > > > Dear Group & Phil, > > > > My one year contract with my TRT doctor will expire > > soon. Guest guest
Marc, I don't recall if you had listed previous labs or if you were diagnosed with primary hypogonadism as opposed to secondary. Hence, if you haven't had such testing done already, I would suggest getting prolactin tested, as high prolactin can contribute to erectile difficulties. Also, if you can get the test inexpensively, it might be good to get DHT tested too. DHT contributes to sexual function, and can be increased by transdermal testosterone more so than injectable testosterone. ~Xian > > > From: Marc M <MisterX225@...> > > Subject: Next set of labs > > > > Date: Monday, March 8, 2010, 1:29 PM > > > > Dear Group & Phil, > > > > My one year contract with my TRT doctor will expire > > soon.
